I have 12 in my ears I thought I'd go for another part of the body. The ear piercings were done to begin with a "normal" hole...the kind you can get in any mall. But I went through the stretching process and now have one four guage, 2 8 guage, and 9 14 guage captive ball rings in my ear. People keep asking me if I plan on getting my other ear pierced, I usually tell them no because I wouldn't want to look strange.
So my friend and I just happened to go to a movie...The Wizard of Oz believe it or not. Okay, so we happened to be a little drunk, but I still like that witch....and her flying monkeys! Anyway, he tells me that guy he knows who does piercings happens to be just across the street at this bar. So we go in and talk to him and he says come on over to the house, where he worked out of, so we grabbed a 12 pack of beer and went. The "house" was a 3 room "bungalow" heated by a wood stove and had recently aquired electricity.
I actually watched my piercer MAKE the 24 guage ring for it. He clipped off a piece of 24 guage wire off something I would have sworn was from a notebook. Then ground down the ends...found a ball to fit. Then he put it in his sterilizer that looked like something from a 50's B science fiction movie. Had I not had a little to drink, I probably wouldn't have done it. But hell you have to start somewhere, right?
I started out getting my left nipple pierced. With a 24 gauge ring. Why that size? Because 4 guage looked scary, Ha ha. After 6 weeks I had the right side done after all I didn't want to look silly only having one ring. But then I figured what the hell (then again it could have been the whiskey),let's add another 24 gauge to the left side. I really liked the way it felt adding more rings to the nipple (my wife is convinced I'm a machochist!!). I did notice that friends had more of a tendency to keep a distance, mostly because at parties I'd try to get other people to do the stretching process to their ears. I did get a few suckers, like my wife...ha ha.
I knew I was hooked. After putzing around for a while, and not being able to always find my piercer, I finally I had three twenty four gauge on each side. So after a few roadtrips where the only thing that ended up happening was inebreation, I finally managed to pin (no pun intended) down my piercer and we removed the ones on the left side and a 14 gauge was installed. It felt wonderful!! (What can I say, mabye my wife is right about that machochist thing)
Six weeks later (sometimes tracking this guy down was like hunting for the FBI's most wanted) we did the right side. Now I had two 14 gauge nipple rings, and I wanted to go bigger. (Someone asked me if I was going for a National Geographic look.) So we added another 14 gauge to the left side. One minor side effect was I couldn't sleep on my left side for a while, finally when I could sleep on that side again we added another 14 gauge to the right.
Alright!! Two 14 gauge on both sides. I kept them in for a couple of months, then I took the left side out and tried to add an 8 gauge. It was a little tough going but with the right lubricant it finally went through. My wife had gone with me this time, and laughed when I was wincing. She said if I thought that hurt that I should try giving birth sometime. It didn't bleed but it sure was sore. Two months later we did the other side with the same results.
Now,after a short healing period we added a 14 gauge to each side. It was a couple months later when I finally decided to install the 4 gauge rings. My wife said she was going to use me as a teether for our daughter. I have to admit, whiskey was a major factor in that decision. Ha ha! It seemed like forever to get them in and talk about sore!!! If I could do it all over again I'd do it in a heartbeat. Especially with the recation I get at my company Christmas party!! Most of the people I work with know I have my ear pierced, but seem to be a little shocked when I show them my nipple rings!
So anyway, that's my story of the adventure of my nipple piercings.
