I had seen a lot of pictures of guys with their nipples pierced and spontaneously decided it was for me. This was not my first piercing but it certainly wont be my last. I called a few shops in the area that I live in, and decided to go with the most trusted and famous shop in town. I had gotten my ears done here and the artist had started the guild in Rhode Island so I figured he knew what he was doing.

I am 17 so I could not get it done legally. The day I chose to go in, I called the shop and was told that they would not pierce a mans nipples till he was 18! So this caused me to freak and I started to call all the shops in the state. A few turned me down till I came to East Coast. My friend had gotten a few piercings here so I figured it would be a good place.
The drive to the place was horrible and I could not imagine how it would feel. I was incredibly nervous. When I got to the shop I found out it was $20 more than the other shop but I didn't mind, if I didn't get them now then I knew I never would. I sat it the waiting room for about a half-hour till he was ready. I was taken into a small side room that was not nearly as clean as the room in the other shop. I waited till a kid came in who did not appear to be much older than I was. We talked for a while about music and the band I play in and the band he played in and what not. Finally he asked me to take my shirt off and I did so also shivering with nervousness. He poked around a bit and measured them. He said they were small but not a problem.
After making a few dots in different places we agreed on one that seemed level. He had my sit in a chair, and I was sitting up! I had never been pierced sitting up; I was always lying down. There was no place to lay down so I didn't say anything. Finally he took out a tray with the cbr's I had chosen and the needle on it. He cleaned my nipples several times with black liquid and yellow liquid. This caused my nipples to stiffen and we waited a moment till they were relaxed. The time had come. I was extremely nervous as he put on his gloves and removed the needle from its package. He stood in front of me and asked if I was ready. I mumbled yes and he moved closer and put the needle close to my right nipple. He told me to take deep slow breathes and on the third breathe out he was going to do it. So on my second breathe out I felt the most out of body feeling pain I had ever experienced. I might have gone black for a second, I'm not sure. This wasn't pain like hitting your shin or biting your tongue. It was an amazing feeling.
Time for nipple number two. We waited about a minute and a half till he was sure I was still with him. He had put the cbr in place of the needle sometime while I was incoherent. I looked down at it and smiled. He cleaned the needle and approached my left nipple. He told me this one might be a bit worse. That's not exactly what I wanted to hear! I said I was ready and this time he said he would do it on the third breathe out for real. I closed my eyes and gritted my teeth. After the first breathe out he stuck it through! He had tricked me twice but he said its better when you're not expecting it. As I looked down I loved what I saw. He put the balls on the rings and closed them. I asked him why the rings were sticking straight up and he said that they would fall into place. I left the shop holding my shirt half a foot from my body and went to the nearest CVS to buy soap and saline.
That night was a long and sleepless one. In fact the first week I didn't get much sleep because I couldn't roll over. The next day at school was a lot of fun I showed some of my friends and no one could believe I actually did it. After a few weeks the rings were hanging normally and they were looking pretty good. After a few months I became worried. The scar tissue on the sides made it look like I had long nipples or even three small nipples, its gross! They are still that way today but with the help of vitamin e and good cleaning I was able to reduce the tissue a bit. I though they were ab-normal and ugly but after looking at a lot of pictures on BME I noticed that it was normal for them to get like that. I have had them now for six months and I would recommend this experience to everyone. I learned a lot about what my body could endure and the piercer said that if you can do that then you can do anything, we'll see.
