Ok so I have been contemplating having my nipples pierced vertically for a long time. I have had them pierced horizontally for almost 2 years. The first time I had my nipples pierced I waited a month in between them. They were my first venture into body mod's and I wanted to know what I was getting myself into. Although since then I have had 2 tattoos and a tongue web piercing. Along with numerous lobe piercings. Like I said, I had been thinking about it for a long time. You see, I am always the one that gets things done first. Then my friends realize its not so bad and do it. My nipples, my tattoo, my 2nd tattoo...And I had wanted to get my hood done first too. But one of my friends went and did it before me. I was mad needless to say. Although I laugh since I will get for less than she paid...hehe. I love the whole preffered customers treatment.

It was a bit bigger than I had expexted. Then the thought hit me. Why not get my verticals? Ive wanted them for so long and its certainly something my friends are not to follow. (at least I hope) So I cash my check and head towards my favorite shop Class Act. On the way I stop at Pep Boys to pick some wiper blades for my car. I get to the shop and Bruce my piercer, Al a tattooist and some guy are standing outside having a smoke. I said Hi to Bruce and asked if he was busy. He said yes. I asked if he had the time to do some nipples. He said he wasnt piercing that day, Shaun the other piercer was piercing. Shaun is a good piercer but I dont let anyone other than Bruce pierce me. I trust him espically after piercing my tongue web. So I asked if he would be in the next day, sunday. He said yes, so I said Id see him after I got off work at 4. I got home to find the book at Pep Boys had told me to buy the wrong size of wiper blades. Quite mad I made my way back to exchange.
Then next day I had to be at work at 7am. I hadnt slept very well because I was up a little late. It was snowing and it never snows here. So I just had to build a snowman. :) Anyway the next morning I was a little wary of driving to work, and my Mom offered to drive me. But I declined because I really wanted to go to Class Act afterwards and she didnt need to know. After a busy, busy day at work, (I work at a Veterinary Hospital and sundays are always hell) I made my way up the hill to Class Act. Not suprisingly the snow was almost gone by now.
On the way I was a little nervous. I tried to listen to music, but there was nothing but crap on the radio. I arrived at the shop. Bruce was up front and I said hi. His wife Laina was piercing someone so we had to wait a little while. After Laina was done everyone went outside for a smoke. I dont smoke but I joined them anyway. We talked outside for a while. Laina asked me when I would let her pierce me. I want my traigus' done but I still have to convince my mom to let me (since these would be visible). She said I should get my hood pierced since that is a easy one to hide, I told her I plan on it.
After the smoke we all headed inside. I followed Bruce to the piercing room and he started to set up. After he was all set up I took of my shirt and bra. He cleaned my first piercings and the rest of my nipple and marked them. Out came the clamps. By this time I wasnt really nervous. I have full trust in Bruce's ability and he's a great guy as well. He asked me to hold up my breast because theyre quite large and it was easier if I held them up for him. The clamps went on my right nipple and he asked if I was ready. I took a deep breath and said yes. After a few deep breaths I felt a sharp pain. Now when I got my horizontal piercings they slid through like butter. But this was different. Because of the other barbell he had to pierce a lot deeper. The tissue is a little more dense and it took a lot more pressure to push the needle through. It took what seemed forever for him to get it through. Finally he got the barbell in and aked me how I was doing. I was fine. He put the c lamps on my left nipple and asked if I was ready. Yes. A few deep breaths and another sharp pain, but this one was a little more sharp than the first. But he got the needle through a lot quicker. The second barbell went in and I was set! I was very happy with the work. I looked at myself in the mirror and got a huge smile on my face.
I put my shirt and bra back on and walked out of the room. I went over to the counter were Laina was, so I could pay. We talked a little and she said she would bring me her coffe mugs she used when she had her nipples pierced. She said they were a lot easier than shot glasses for large breasts. I was given some sea salt and was on my way. I thanked them both and left for home. Driving home was painful. Every bump in the road I felt. When I finally got home I took a shower. After the shower I put on a tight sports bra and tight shirt for support. I had to go to the store for my mom, but luckily my dad let me drive his truck, which has a much smoother ride than my little car.
Today, monday, they are a little sore. They bled a amall amount but not even enough to get any on my white bra. When they get uncomfortable I take some Ibuprofin and it helps a lot. Standard procedure for cleaning. Dial liquid soap and sea salt soaks twice a day. If anyone has horizontal nipple piercings and wants verticals, go for it. If you can get them pierced once you can do it again. They look fucking awesome and Im even thinking about going and flashing my x..hehe! Show him what he lost!
