It was about a week ago that I decided to get my nipples pierced. I found this website and a few others to do a little research on the whole experience. I read a lot of stories and looked at a lot of pictures and decided to go for it. I had gotten my belly button pierced a couple of times and my tongue so I figured I could handle the temporary pain. The nipple piercings looked so cool and I wanted them so bad, but there was one little problem. I had no money. I was waiting for my refund check to come from the IRS. My roommate knew how bad I wanted them done so she offered to loan me the money until I got paid. I was so excited!

So my roommate and I headed down to Yankee Tattoo on our day off from classes. I walked in and there were a couple of clients ahead of me. I filled out some forms and the guy at the desk took my license to check my age. We looked at some of the tattoos and the piercing book while we waited. By this time the nerves were setting in, but I knew I wanted to go through with it. We sat down on a bench when a man covered in tattoos and piercings called my name. His name was Rob, a pretty good looking guy I might add. He had me take off my shirt while he washed his hands. I stood in front of him with my hands down at my sides while he carefully marked me. I was so impressed by his precision. He kept me calm, explaining everything and just talking about everyday stuff. Then he had my look and approve. I laid down on a very clean table and he put the clamp on my nipple. He told me to take a couple of practice breaths and on the second exhale he was going to put the ne edle in. Well on the second breath in went the needle. It hurt, but not too bad. Then I flipped around and he did the other side. The other side hurt so bad, which I was expecting from reading so many stories and hearing personal accounts from one of my friends. I kept breathing but it was finally over. I sat up and looked down at my new nipples. They were gorgeous! They never bled a drop, I was so impressed by Rob's work. He kept me calm and excited about the whole piercing. He was so professional and very sterile. I could not even count the number of times he changed his gloves. He then told me all about the after care and said if I had any problems at all to call him and he would be more than happy to help. I could not even count the number of times he changed his gloves. I got up and put on my clothes and went on my way.

The rest of the day I was in slight discomfort, mainly because I live in Vermont and in the winter its cold. I went to work the same day I had them done and I felt fine. I got so many phone calls from my friends asking me if I was alright. It was not like I was going through major surgery, I was just getting my nipples pierced. Other than that they are doing wonderfully. They are sore, which is expected because that area is sensitive to begin with. I had to sleep on my back the first night and when I woke up they felt fine, no blood or crusties on them at all. I use Dial soap in the shower, twice a day to clean them and after the shower I use saline solution to clean them some more. The warm water in the shower feels really good and soothing on the sore nips. I cup my hands underneath them and let the water collect so they can soak. They feel great and I cant stop looking at them in the mirror. I can not wait until they are healed so I can get some cool new jewelry to put in them. All the advice I can give to ladies that want them done is go for it. It does hurt, I mean you are shoving a needle through a very sensitive place. The pain is temporary. And wear a bra, it feels so much better with one on. Drink lots of fluids to speed up the healing process and clean your nips often so they don't get infected. Lastly. ask your piercer questions and do some research. You will feel a lot better and much more relaxed if you know what is going to happen ahead of time. Good Luck and Have Fun With Your New Nipple Rings!
