We have the same taste, the same opinions, similar looks, and we even have the same last name. People don't even believe us when we say we're not related. Of course, we're both into mods, and being the wonderful person that she is, Melissa paid for both of us to get our right nipples pierced as her Christmas present. Sort of like those friendship rings and bracelets that a lot of people buy, but a hell of a lot cooler. I had wanted mine done for quite some time, and, although I am a big wimp, at first I wasn't nervous at all about it, only excited. Of course that quickly changed. We arrived at Pinz N Needlez in Salmon Arm BC to see Anna, our trusted body piercer, and she gave us an excellent deal on our nipples.
After we made our way back to the piercing room, it was decided that Melissa would get her nipple pierced first. In the beginning she didn't want me to see her topless. I respected her privacy, and averted my eyes. After Anna, prepped and cleaned her nipple, Melissa lay down on the table. As the time for the piercing came closer she told me that she didn't care if I saw her, and as what has now become almost a tradition dictated, I held her hand. After the standard breathing technique, the piercing began. I watched as the needle cut through her hardened nipple and listened as she released her now audible breath and tightened her grip slightly. It looked, and sounded, quite painful. After the ring was placed I began to grow nervous, as I knew that I was next.
I took off my shirt and after being prepped I lay down on the table and held Melissa's hand in mine. My anticipation grew and my heart beat faster as I breathed in and out and as the needle went through I gripped Melissa's hand tighter and exhaled a choppy breath. I was relieved because I thought the worst was over, but I was wrong. My injured nipple was tight and tense around the needle which made the 14 gauge ring going through more painful than the piercing itself. I carefully put my bra and shirt back on and we headed back to Melissa's house. On the drive home poor Melissa's seat belt was pushing against her freshly pierced nipple which hurt and was irritating.
Afterwards there was a short period in which the piercing wasn't very painful as long as the piercing wasn't disturbed. I was staying at Melissas house at the time and of course our friends and Melissa's siblings wanted to see what it looked like. Later on that day, however, it adopted a dull throbbing pain which put us through some agony. I think the most painful moment was after I showed my new piercing to a friend, my bra caused the ring to flip up and push against my breast.
About a month after the piercing, I experienced some problems with my nipple. It was constantly dry and painful. I was worried that it was migrating because of my age and the fact that my body is still changing. Melissa was having similar problems, so we went and talked to Anna about it. She told us just to keep taking good care of it, to keep an eye on it, and that if the problems persisted to come back and she would take a look at it. Fortunately, a couple of weeks later the problems deceased and my nipple seems to be in good condition.
I wasn't sure if I would want to get my left nipple pierced but it was worth it. It looks fantastic and is doing well. I still have the original ring in, but as soon as I can afford it, I want to get a barbell, as I hear they are more comfortable, and I love the way that they look. Today I have a healthy, happy, and beautifully modified nipple, and plan on paying for Melissa and I to get our left nipples done as her 19th birthday present. Although I wish I had gotten them both pierced at the same time, so I wouldn't be so apprehensive about the pain factor. Her birthday is in March which is awesome because I am totally jonesing for a piercing or tattoo right now. It's true that they are addictive, but they are definitely a healthy addiction, as long as you trust your piercer or tattoo artist, and take good care of your modifications. The nipple is a great piercing for those who enjoy piercings, but are restricted by their employers policies towards piercings, or who would p refer to not have their piercings visible.
