I had been wanting to get my nipples pierced for a long time, but wasn't really sure about it until yesterday, at which point it had to be done right away! I'm a very impatient person, so I called up my boyfriend and we met up and made our way to New Tribe.

I wasn't sure if I needed an appointment or not, so when I went out I was freaked that I might not be able to get it done. Luckily, they weren't very busy and I only had to wait for about 20 minutes. I was really nervous but really excited! I paid the $90 and filled out all the "necessary" forms and made my way to the back room with my piercer, Jon, and my boyfriend.

Once I was in there, I asked the usual question: How much will this hurt? Jon told me that female nipple piercing was the least painful of all piercings, male or female, so I was totally hyped. He showed me all the stuff he would be using and told me it was all clean and sterilized and safe, which didn't do much for me cause I kinda assumed it anyways. I took off my shirt and he cleaned the area and drew dots on my nipples, and asked me if they were okay. They looked fine to me, so I said they were cool and he told me to lie down on the padded table thingy. I lay down and was all of a sudden insanely scared!! I called my boyfriend over like the wuss that I am and asked him to hold my hand, and I closed my eyes and waited. First he clamped my nipple, and then sterilized it, and then pushed the needle through. He was very good and very quick, and it only hurt a tiny bit. I felt a bit relieved and then he put the actual hoop through and I actually squealed out loud!! That was embarrassing but it was ignored so I forgot about it. At that point I was crushing the hell out of my boyfriends hand and Jon said he was all done the first one, so I got a little break in between while he got a new hoop and such for the second one. I really kinda over-reacted to the piercing, it didn't hurt that much at all compared to my other piercings. I felt a bit more stable in a few moments and was ready for the next one. Jon repeated the procedure on my other nipple and I really barely felt it, although I was beginning to feel a little light-headed. I looked down when he was done and was very happy, they looked amazing!! I breathed a sigh of relief and jumped up and put my shirt back on. Jon then gave me the regular garble about what to clean it with and how I shouldn't touch it with dirty hands (duh) and shouldn't sleep with animals in my bed. I listened to what he had to say, then thanked him and left.

Once I got outside it was really cold, which made my nipples feel reallllly weird, so I wanted to get inside as soon as possible. Jon had told me to go buy tea tree oil, so I went to the body shop and did that. He also told me to get some ointment to be used for a week, which I still didn't get and probably won't bother to now. Oh well!

After that I kinda rushed home, went to my room and took off my shirt again, examining my new piercings for a while. I already have my tongue, lip, and navel pierced, but I still get really hyped when I get a new one! These piercings I was exceptionally happy with, although I must admit probly won't take care of them as well as I should (ooh I'm SO irresponsible!). I'm gonna try to clean them at least once a day though, and they really don't hurt as much to clean as I thought they would, as I had some problems with my navel (infections NOT pretty!). Since yesterday I've been goin' around showing everyone, I'm so happy about it! I'm only 18, so as you can probably guess I haven't told my mum about it yet, and probably never will cause she'd totally flip. She actually doesn't know about my navel either, I'm so sneaky! ;)

To anyone thinking about getting a first piercing, I'd definitely suggest your nipples (to a girl anyways)! They were definitely the least painful for me, and in my opinion they're damned sexy and look like they'll be great fun to play with once they're all healed. Right now they're a bit raw and I can't turn them through the holes or move them up and down, but they're safe to touch (with clean hands!) and for some reason feel fantastic when I'm in the shower. So if you're new to this, don't be scared cause it only hurts if you're a wuss like me!!
