Well, it all began as an intrigue for me. A friend I was talking to was telling me about his nipple piercings. My first reaction, (well besides the initial "Didn't that hurt?")

was curiosity. I couldn't figure out why, for the life of me, anyone would want to shove a piece of metal in their nipples. I spent many an hour scratching my head, trying to think up a logical answer. I finally decided to dig up a little research on it. I checked BME, and

other on-line sites for information.

The more I looked at sites, talked to people, and researched, the more interested I became. I began to gradually work up courage. It took me about a month to seriously get the nerve and go for it.

I had taken the first step into Mos Eisley's a month or so before I decided to come back for my second piercing. My first was my tongue. So I walked in again, this time more shy and reserved. Dave stood behind the counter when I walked in, and asked the

normal, "Can I help you?" Well, it took me a minute to even ask if they did it. I was so quiet, that I put my head down and said, "Do you, uh, do nipple piercings here?" He kind of smiled at me, and said yes. Then he asked if I wanted one. I stood frozen for a second, then shook my head yes in a nervous manner. He smiled again, and handed me the paperwork. I gingerly filled it out and paid the 35 dollars. I was very inclined to just back right out the door if I had not paid the money. He (I am sure of it now) could sense my

apprehension and fear to the whole experience. I was probably sweating bullets. He begins by showing me the jewelry he will be using. It was a 12 gauge captive bead ring.

I listened as he said he would go set up and get me when he was ready, but the words just echoed around me. I was in a mist of uncertainty but yet, I was excited. I had decided to do something very off my mainstream self and I was enjoying it. As I was

standing there in a semi-daze, he comes up from the back and says, "OK, are you ready?" I swallowed and said, "Yep."

I followed him back to the piercing room, and he first asked if I had any questions. I didn't so he then gave me the choice of lifting up my shirt and bra or taking it off. I opted to take it off, seeing as if I was going to go through I might as well just go all the way. He then makes asks what side. I froze! I hadn't even thought of that, and was taken by surprise. Which side? I looked down and decided to go with my left side. No idea why, but just because. He makes a tiny mark on each side of my left nipple. These

were to mark the entrance and exit holes. He asks if I approve of the location and I agree. THEN the hard part comes. He tells me to lay back. Thoroughly, he cleans my nipple with cleansers. Then asks if I am ready again, and I say yes. Then he says he's going to

clamp it, and that I will feel a slight discomfort. I close my eyes, (because I am a wimp really.) I feel the clamp tighten around my nipple, and he reminds me to keep taking deep breaths.

"Take one large inhale and then exhale through your mouth," he instructs me. As I do this, I feel the needle slide through. It was an intense, sharp pain. I will recall that it was not as bad as I had imagined it, and surprisingly addicting (as I found out later.) I keep taking breaths, and he takes the clamp off, and instructs me to take one more deep breath like the last. I do and he slides the ring in.

I breath a slight sigh of relief as the hardest part was over. He closes the ring up for me, and lets me sit up and relax for a moment. I put my bra and shirt back on, and he asks how I am. I was still shaking from a mixture of emotions, mostly nerves. The

instructions are gone over on aftercare and what I should look for as far as healing time and other tid bits. That was it, it was a short procedure all in all, but I enjoyed it immensely. I went back to get my right nipple done a week after. I've had them for a

little over a month and they are doing great. It was a great experience both times, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
