I got my navel pierced about 6 months ago, I finally got it done after about 2 years of bugging my mom to get it done! After she got to the point where I was bugging her too much and my grades were good, she agreed to take me to get it done.

But then of course it couldn't happen because Larry the piercer wasn't going to be there that day. Fate is crazy! I was so close to it getting done right that minute and he wasn't even there! So we went back the next day, which was Saturday, and sure enough he was actually there! So this time my mother, brother and boyfriend all went with.
It was nice knowing my boyfriend was there with me, so we went inside and there wasn't a lot of people there, which I do not think would have made a difference because I just felt comfortable. We went to the desk and they yelled for Larry to come up to the front. Boy was he cute!! I still didn't feel nervous, and my boyfriend use to live by him and they knew each other so that made things ever more comfortable. Him being so darn cute helped a lot too because I was just kind of mesmerized by him.
So Larry guided me and my boyfriend and family back into the back back room where the piercing happens. It was a small room, with Garbage Pale Kids posters on the wall which made me laugh. Larry had me stand up first and pull my shirt up so he could check out my navel. He said it looked good, which made me feel kind of good. Then he told me to lay down on the table, so thats what I did, this was when I felt some butterflies in my tummy. It took me a little bit to get up on the table and lay down because I was wearing a mini-skirt. He then cleaned the area off and did his markings. He then opened up the packages for the needles and everything and got it all ready. He then turned to me and asked if it would be better for him to count to three or not and I said counting to three would be good.
So he told me to take a breath and he told me to exhale and while I did that he counted to three and put the needle through. It really didn't hurt at all. I just felt the pressure. And the truth is I actually liked the feeling, so he started to put the jewelry in and my boyfriend said something that kind of made me giggle and made my tummy move and Larry was all "do not move do not move," because moving was gonna make the jewelry fall out. So I quickly stopped laughing and said to myself, "Crap now he thinks I am an
idiot!" So I said sorry with a little voice and not very much movement.
So after he put the jewelry in, he told me I was done and I slowly got
up(mini-skirt troubles). I was so so so happy when I looked down, it was just the cutest thing ever!! It made me feel so good! We then all walked out the main area and thats where Larry told us how much it would be, he gave us a deal so we gave him a good tip. He then told me that if I came back there for more jewelry I would get a good deal and he would change it for me and everything. I was really surprised at how easy and simple the whole thing was, I had so many different people telling me that it hurt or that it didn't hurt that I didn't really know what to think or expect.
We all chatted for a little bit, then left because we were on our way to this concert in the park thing in my town. All night I just kept looking at it. I was in love. I showed everyone I saw, but most of them weren't too excited because either they had it done themselves or they weren't into it.I still love it and am so happy that I did it. It took awhile to heal completely, where I could kind of play with it without it hurting.
Now its 100% healed and I couldn't be any happier. My boyfriend loves to play around with it also. He has even bought me some jewelry for it. And I now realize why people keep getting things pierced, its very addicting and as soon as im 18 im gonna go get a couple more things done!
