Hello! About 1 week ago I got my second 14G navel ring! I had my first navel ring done over a year ago and ever since I got the first, I've wanted the second! Here's how it all began.

First of all, I was 12 when I began doing research on piercings since all my friends were getting their navels done. I looked at pictures, read stories, and talked to everyone about it.

I finally talked to my parents about getting one around the age of 13. Of course, they told me "No." So, I didn't argue. At that time it wasn't that important. I got to looking at more and more pictures on this exact page and decided I had to have a navel piercing!

So, once again I went to my computer and done so much research on navels I knew exactly what to do by heart. I went to my parents again with all the information I had and they told me since I wanted one so bad they would think about it.

About a month went by and they made me an appointment at the Red Dragon in West Virginia. I have known a few of the guys that work at the Red Dragon for years so I knew I wouldn't be shy or scared.

The day had came to get my navel piercing. I walked into the Red Dragon and began talking to one of the (totally cute) guys that worked there. He told me while he went to sterilize everything to pick out a new ring for the piercing. I chose this beautiful blue diamond ring. It suited me.

So, after I picked out the ring, I sat down on the table to go over some after-care with my piercer. He was extremely nice and explained everything. Next, he went over how he would pierce me.

I lay down on the table and he put some gloves on and examined my navel for any problems that could (possibly) go wrong. He told me everything looked okay so he changed gloves again and cleaned my navel two or three times. He asked me if I wanted to watch my needle go through my navel. I have always been scared of needles but I decided to actually watch this one so I told him "Yes." He placed the clamps on and then, he told me to take three deep breaths and on my third breath, when I let it out he would pierce me. I let my final breath out and lay back down on the table for a couple minutes. "Are you done yet?" I asked him. "I've been done for about 3 minutes now." Amazing, it didn't hurt at all. The only thing I felt was a little pressure on my navel when the needle went through and I felt the clamps go on.

After I stood up, I could feel a little more pain but it was really nothing major. My piercer went over the after-care one more time to make sure I understood everything. I knew everything that was going on and what I had to do from all the research though.

I didn't have any problems with my navel after the piercing, besides the few problems I had sleeping on my stomach. I had to clean it two to three times a day with the cleaner my piercer gave me. It was just like any natural piercing, it healed perfectly!

Now, one year later, I am 14 and I just had my second navel piercing done. The first navel piercing was near the top of my navel but this one was done right underneath it on the bottom. I got my second navel piercing (14G as well) at the Red Dragon (same place I got my first navel piercing).

I got it done about one week ago and it is healing fine. I think the bottom piercing was painless. I had no problems sleeping or anything.

I am moving on to other navel piercings. I want one more on each side of my navel. I also want to have my nose pierced along with my lower lip. And I am currently thinking about having my eyebrow pierced.I can't wait to have them done which will take me about one year to have my navel piercings completely healed. I am going to wait for my navels to get healed before I get other piercings but I am going to get them.

Some people are afraid of needles but it's really no problem. You get to decide weather you want to watch your needle go through your piercing. I want to encourage anyone and everyone who wants their navels pierced to go and get it done. It's an awesome experience! Happy navel piercing!
