Hi there, I'm going to tell you about my experience with the navel.

Well ever since I was little I've always wanted my belly button pierced, but my mum always said that I was to young. So I would go over to Claire's and buy the clip on belly rings from there and pretend that I had it done.

So the time finally came when I was 13. So many people were getting their belly buttons pierced and I so wanted mine done. So I convinced my mum to let me have it done. I kept showing her all the CUTE belly bars and kept on asking her approval. She would just simply say "There Alright" and get back to what ever she was doing. I realised this was not going to be an easy thing convincing her to let me get it done, as I already had pierings. I have my doubles done and my cartilage. Anyway this isn't about that.

So, I told her about one of mates that had, had it done and then I go I'll loose weight!!! But I said let me get it done first. (clever). So I was going out one day and my mum said to me, Go to the piercing shop and find out how much it is and what they do. And then you can book your appointement to have it done on a Friday. Seeing as I was on a school holiday, it didn't matter what time I got it done. So I went to the piercing shop and there was a chinese man and a chinese lady. He asked me where my parents were and he was rushing me out of the shop, seeing as I was underage. He then said to me It cost 35.00 and that I have to come with an adult.

So I went home and told my mum. The next day my mum said to me. Hurry up and get ready you can get it done today instead. I was so happy but at the same time I was sh*****g myself. When we got there it all seemed so real and I couldn't believe I was going through with it!

The place was clean and smelled of Incence. They had all designer clothes in the shop window. As I walked in I could see a huge glass cabinet and I went straight over to where it was. There were some really nice belly bars. My mum paid and the man walked me and my mum into the back room. He then asked to look at my belly button and said "Ok".

He told me to pick out which belly bar I wanted and then he began. He told me to lay up on the table and push my top up and tuck it under my bra so that it dind't get in the way.

He sterilized everything infromt of me, and my mum. Then he took the dreaded clamps, which did't hurt that much just a tugging feeling. He told me to put my arms by my side and breathe in and out. He said as you breathe out i'm going to put the needle through. I aggreed with him. (not much I could do). So as planned once I breathed out he jammed the needle through. My mum said my face went funny, even though I was telling her I didn't feel anything. The insertion of the belly bar did sting though and so did the screwing of the top ball. By the way I chose a silver belly bar with a re ruby crystal in the middle. Then he said all done and he put a plaster on it. As for those people that said it bleed a little bit, it's not suppose to. That's what my piercer said. He asked me if I was happy with it, I thought to myself well it's a bit to late not to be.

He then put some chinese remedy on it and placed a plaster on it. He gave me a little bag with some chinese remedy and four plasters. As soon as I got home I rang up a few of my mates and told them my good news. They were all like so jealous!! he he he. Anyway mine is healing nicely now, but just has a little but of crust aroung the top, which I am told is normal. I cant wait to change the barbell into some nice one. I've been seeing some really nice ones lately. I've said to all my mates get me barbells for my birthday instead of different things. I'm gonna save up all my money and get some cool ones. If your thinking about getting a belly button piercing GO FOR IT!!! Love ya Sab xx
