It was near Christmas and we all decided to go back to our home town in Virginia Beach just so we can see some old friends and my brother-in-law's family for a Christmas dinner. I wanted a piercing just for the fun of it and because I am one of those weird chicks who like the feeling of pain. I asked my sister and brother-in-law to take me to Ocean Mystique when we were down there because my boyfriend had just recently given me money for Christmas, but they weren't sure if they were open on Christmas Eve. So I ended up calling them and found they were open till 6 Christmas Eve. So of course, I jumping for joy(where no one could see me). As I said before, I wanted this bad.

Though, they were also not sure because of the time frame. We didn't want to spend to long down there and plus, we were going to visit my Mum(my adopted mother) as well and she didn't really approve of the whole piercing thing. Though, I made sure I talked to her first. I promised I wouldn't get my tongue pierced this time around because we all wanted to eat Christmas dinner. Plus, not being able to smoke over my break wouldn't have been all that fun. Ok, anyway.

We finally get down there the day before Christmas Eve and obviously, we were to tired coming from D.C. to V.B. and just wanted to relax so we didn't go. The next day though, we were able to. I wake up around 9am and was so excited, but I knew I'd have to wait a little and tried to go back to sleep but the excitement got to me. My brother-in-law already had left to go to the bank for some money for certain purposes and by the time he got back we were all ready and said our goodbyes and were on our way to the strip. When we got there, it was like a little ghost town so needless to say I didn't have any wait. My sister had the papers to prove that they had custody of me. Gave them our drivers licenses and got all the paper work in order. I gave them the money and they let me pick out my jewelry. Hell Yeah! I didn't get the banana barbell though because it was a bit more exspensive, but I was content with it. Only cost me $25 in all though. Nice, huh? Then, he calls me back.

I asked him if it would really hurt all that bad and he decided to tell me the worst thing that would happen is I piss my pants and pass out. Ah, reassuring words. He told me to lift my shirt up and stand up totally straight. He marked me and I jumped up on the little bed thingy. Laying down I realized it was about to happen. I got kind of nervous, but I keep it to a minimum so I didn't freak. I cleared my mind of all bad thoughts and I told him I was all ready. I felt the clamp and he told me to take a big breath in and as soon as I did it was like he was done. Honestly, no lie, I didn't feel anything but maybe a little prick. Gave me a mirror and I was all happy about it. Looked awesome! I gave him a nice tip and he gave me this paper that told me about the aftercare and he went ahead and just went through it with me. I was all done and so siked! We walked around the shop for a while and I almost ended up buying myself some new gages, but decided to wait and I bought this after care Satin solution.

We left the place and went over to get some food at this little italian place. I couldn't help but keep lifting my shirt up and looking at it. I was so proud, but got yelled at for touching it. Never touch it. Way it'll get infected. I ended up going to the bathroom and looking at it in the mirror admiring it. I know it sounds so stupid, but it was exciting for me.

The next day there was any irritation. I mean it. It was little red around the piercing, but that was to be expected, ya know? I thought there would be horrible, nightmarish pain for the next couple of days, but there was. It's been only like 3 months now and I'm about to change to jewelry. There still is a little puss around it and the crusties, but it's nothing bad. Like I said, it looks awesome and though people have different levels of pain tolerance, I highly recommend it if you're thinking about it. In a few days, I'm going back to get my next two piercings. Hm, wonder what I should get next?
