While all my friends were raving about getting their belly buttons pierced, I simply, was not interested. I played too many sports to worry about something getting ripped out. But a year passed and I grew into a body I learned to love, and I decided...wow...my stomach looks really plain. I could no longer play sports due to a shoulder injury so I decided I needed something else to occupy my time. So I started going to websites, (mostly BME) reading everything I could, that would help me persuade my parents into the whole idea. I took me about 1 month to finally get may parents to say yes. We decided that it was going to be my 15th birthday present from my parents.

I must have really wanted it, because that day it had been really bad weather and the roads were very slippery. We drove 35 minutes in those conditions so that I could have hole in my bellybutton.
When we got there, they had to call my mother at work to make sure it was okay, and my boyfriends sister signed the papers, as did I, and the process began.
I don't really remember much but I was lying down at first listening to a tape on how to take care of your new piercing. I picked out a barbell with a white diamond and she got the stuff ready and went over how to breathe as she was going to pierce my belly button.
She marked me with a marker to show me where it would be placed and asked me if I liked it there. Of course I did!
She was really nice and made sure that I was ready and that I had listened to the tape thoroughly and understood that a newly pierced piercing is like a wound and you should treat it like one.
She put the clamp on, and now I don't know why people say the clamp hurts, they are trying to fool you, I couldn't even feel it.
She told me to breathe in and then breathe out and then she put the needle through. It was nothing! When she was all finished she told me to sit up slowly just incase I felt woozy. But I was totally fine. Then I stood up and walked around and she gave me some stuff to take care of it. Stuff like sea-salt and a crème for piercings and tattoos. It worked really well and my piercing healed very well.
Me and my boyfriends sister went to find my boyfriend and his friend who were wandering around the mall and we were going to tell them a chickened out. We found them and I went up to my boyfriend and told him a chickened out, he came over to hug me and say it was okay when I lifted my shirt to reveal my sexy new bellybutton ring. He laughed and I was so proud of myself.
After that day I had no trouble sleeping, there was no redness, swelling or bleeding what so ever. Everything went well. I had to write an exam the next day and I was totally fine, and I got to show it off to everyone at school.
When I should my dad he just shook his head. My mom said it looked cool, but she said that was it and there was to be no more piercings for me, but we'll see what she knows. I was happy.
Remember how I said that all my friends wanted to get their belly buttons pierced and I didn't want to. Well I was the first to get it done! Weird huh?
Because I got my piercing in the winter, by the summer it was totally healed and I was allowed to change it. I love wearing dangly bellybutton rings when I wear my bathing suit it completes me! Yes!
But when I wear a dangly belly button ring that is heavy it starts to pull and leaves a red mark so I try not to wear them for very long.
Classical Nails Plus II was very clean and professional if I get any other piercing it will be done by Classical Nails Plus II.
People are right, piercing is addictive, I really want another piecing but I just don't know what to get. I'll think of something. I'm going to Toronto on the 30th of March and me and my friend who has like 20-some piercings are going to check out some places in Toronto around the Eaton Center, so if you know any good places tell me!
Maybe next for me will be a tattoo instead of a piercing. Hmm...you just never know!
If you're thinking about getting your belly button pierced, do it! It's an awesome experience and I love it!
