Every time I go visit in Fredericton, I like to get a new piercing or tattoo. I love White Lotus and don't want to get anything done anywhere else so I take advantage of my time there.

I didn't really have anything in my mind that I wanted to get pierced. Ok, scratch that, I had a few things in my mind but my boyfriend hates piercings and I didn't want to do anything to my body that he would completely hate. I thought about it a bit more while I was there and decided to get the bottom part of my bellybutton done, the top had been done years ago.
So that morning, and by morning I mean 4pm because we had been out a little late the night before, we get ready and make our way to get some breakfast. None of us are feeling too great. After we eat what we can, which isn't much, we call a cab and go wait outside. It gets there soon enough and we make our way there. My friend was getting her labret done so she attempted to brush her teeth during the cab ride. Both funny and gross at the same time.
When we get there we do the usual "you're going first, no, you are, you are, you are!". I normally like to go first but wasn't feeling too great and haven't have anything done in a while and wanted her to go first. Didn't look like she was changing her mind so I agreed. We walked up the stairs, were met by our piercer who gave us the forms to fill out. She said we could go right in when we were ready. I had not seen her in there before, she's apparently the tattooist (Andre)'s girlfriend. So I walk in, she marks the spot, I feel bloated from eating and want to be sick. I lay down and get ready. Got my friend to hold my hand because I'm a baby and my first navel piercing hurt like hell!
1...2...3...And all I feel is the needle going through my skin, which felt disgusting by the way, and then a little pinch as she was putting the jewelery threw. I felt like an idiot for being so nervous before. So it's done and I go look in the mirror. Looked so much better than my first one!
So then I wait for my friend to get hers done. While I watch and see her pull out the needles and stuff again, I all of a sudden felt like I was going to be sick and pass out at the same time. My legs started to shake and I said "I don't feel so great!" or something along those lines and ran out to the door to go sit in the lobby. I hear people calling behind me to lay down. My face had turned completely white. The piercer's friend came out and gave me a sucker and some water. I started to feel better immediately. I was upset that I missed my friend's piercing. They both came out and her's looked great as well. I was given another sucker, along with the care instructions, a pin, a white lotus card and instructions to eat the other sucker right away if I started to feel faint at all. When she first came out she just said "well, you got some color back into your face, do you feel better too??". I had apparently turned completely white previously.
We paid the piercer (with a tip of course) and thanked her! I was a little worried when I saw it wasn't my usual piercer there, but this girl was awesome! I'm looking forward to getting more piercings done by her. I'd defenitely recommend getting piercings there. When we left, we called a cab from outside, hoping to get the same guy because he was funny. Wasn't him though. My friend told me that while I was in the lobby, the piercer asked if she was going to be with me later and to keep an eye on me and make sure I eat the sucker!
I felt better. We made our way to Wal-Mart because I wanted Sea Salts and my friend wanted mouthwash. Then we made our way to get movie tickets in advance to make sure we got to see the movie we had planned.
It's been months now and it looked like it was healing fine but lately it's been getting pretty sore and oozing some green stuff. Yeah, that sounds so hot, I know. I hope it heals soon. I'm considering taking my first one out and having it done again later. The first time it was done, it started to reject a bit so it's not as deep as I would like it.
I think my next piercing will be something that my current boyfriend would hate with a passion when our relationship screws up. Yes, I'm pessimistic, but whatever.
