My crooked quad-navel

Hey I'm sixteen years old and I love my belly button piercing. I originally got my belly button piercing when I was fourteen for my birthday. The piercing cost forty dollars, which isn't that bad. The piercer talked me through it, by showing me the needle coming out of the package, marking my stomach, clamping it, waiting for me to relax, and telling me when she was putting the needle in and when it came through. The piercing went great and was painless. The piercer told me to breath in and breath out and before I knew it was in.

It did not bleed or anything. I cleaned it twice a day with bactine and sea salt a few times a week. I have had no complications with it to this day. It has healed perfectly normal. Luckily!!! No infections thankfully which makes me very happy. The worst part of it all is that you cant sleep on your stomach for a long time which stinks.

I then wanted to get more piercings. But my parents would allow me to get piercings on my face. I wanted the labret or an eyebrow, but that was out of the question. so I settled for more belly rings. I was looking online at pictures and found the quad navel which I immediately fell in love with. My mom wouldn't let me so I went to my dad for permission. Yes!! I was allowed!!! It would be my Christmas present. The piercings all together would cost like one hundred and ten dollars. And I found a coupon which took like ten dollars off. And the piercer gave me another ten dollars off for no reason. I got the papers signed and went to the studio.

I was expecting little or almost no pain, because my first experience was painless and I could pinch slightly a little more fat on the bottom of my belly button. I thought it would be a piece of cake. Boy was I wrong. Getting all three at the same time I think made it hurt worse. The piercer first did the right side, then the left, and the bottom which hurt most of all. It had hurt worse to get the bottoms and two sides of my belly button pierced, then it did to get the top one pierced. The piercer wasn't the same one I had originally and didn't make me feel as comfortable, because he didn't talk me through the piercing. But I knew what to expect, or at least I thought I knew what to expect. I was very sore for a long time. But I kept up with cleaning it 2 times a day and using sea salt to help heal it. I had to try not to wear tight clothes, because it pushed the rings flat against my stomach, instead of sticking off my stomach a little bit. There were no infections once again, which again made me very happy.

Your supposed to wait 2 months to change a belly ring but I was anxious and only waited a month. I wanted to take out the original rings and put in barbells. Well when i changed the rings to barbells, you could notice that the right side was pierced lower than the left. I was so upset. But it looked so stupid so I took out all three of my new piercings, figuring having one side pierced would look silly while waiting for the other ones to heal. I let them fully heal up, which didn't take long and now all that is left is a little dots for scars, hardly noticeable, unless you examine my stomach.

Its been over a year since I got the new piercings and took them out. I recently decided that I missed them and wanted to get the piercings redone. I got permission again and am soon going to get the paperwork filled out. This next time I get them pierced I want the piercing to be slightly deeper than before. I have sent emails to the studio where I am getting the piercing and have asked them if they can pierce it a little differently, and they responded that it should not be a problem. I am going to be very specific in telling them I don't want another crooked piercing, because I was very disappointed with the last ones. I'm a little bummed that I have to pay another one hundred dollars to get them pierced, when the mistake wasn't my fault , but I guess if I want it that bad I have to. My friends keep telling me not to get the piercings again but it is something that I want and am willing to take care of so I'm going to get them again. Hopefully it wont be pierced crooked again, and I won't have any other complications.
