This is proof that, not all piercing you do yourself are good. About a year ago or so I had pierced my own lip. Not only was it off but, it with done with a ear ring. No, doing it with a sewing needle and a ear stud is not smart. I didn't know the different so I thought hell, why not. Well, Going back little, I was bored, I had found a needle on the floor. So, I figured I'd go ahead and pierce my tongue. That was the idea I came up with first.

I wanted to have a piercing and I decided, why not my lip. I remember closing my eyes and sticking it in as slow as possible. This making it hurt like hell. I noticed right then I didn't get it in the middle where I wanted it but, I wasn't going to do it again. So, I went ahead and put a normal ear ring in it. Next morning, it was sore and string quit a bit.
I asked my brother why, and he said "cause your an idiot!" He was telling me how I should have let him do it or have went to someone who knew what they where doing. I ignored him though, cause I still thought I was sooo cool. My mom flipped, and it wasn't because I had it ether. She told me it could get infected and so on. Once again, did not care! I liked it way to much. Well, that is til a week later when the fact it wasn't in the middle caught my attention again. I still kept it in and was still hearing "how bad it was" from my family members.
Coming from the "holy" family that I do, this was the newest thing to talk about. Oh, and I heard it all! How I was going into "the wrong crowd" and I was "going to hell" for this. I just got so sick of it I took it out. It had healed up all right. To this day I still think it got infected. Mainly cause, it was just so nasty looking with no ring. I still wanted my lip pierced thought. I was going to stop at nothing to get it done. I just had to come up with something, some way to get my mom to take me somewhere to get it done again at.
She point blank told me "Wait a year, if you want it then, I will pay for it." So, I knew I had to wait. everytime I got money I'd get a stud or a ring for it. A year had past and, a month before, I got my tongue pierced. The lady who did it at Body Language did a good job with my tongue, cause it never was sore or anything. I had decided to bring it up to my mom again. She told me ok that we'd do it next week. I was happy to hear this of course but, I didn't wanna wait. I did though. The whole time looking at web sites that sell lip rings and looking at other people how had it done.
That Monday we went into Body Language. We had just got done eating, and I remember going into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I didn't want my breath to smell like Tacos. After I did I went and sat in the waiting room. There where a lot of people there. Mostly people getting tattoos. Everyone was talking and laughing, but I just sat in the corner of the room, scared. I was remembering how much it hurt the time I did it. I knew I could take it but, I was just getting the butterflies again. Just then they called my name.
It was Megan again. She did my tongue so, that made me feel better. I remember how my tongue didn't hurt. I figured, it couldn't hurt that much, right? So, I went in the same room as before. It was colder then outside. I remember thinking, I hope I don't start shaking while she is doing this." She went over what I can and can't do. She went over aftercare too. I remember it was taking forever and I needed a cigarette. I just sat there and listened. After that she was ready. She took out the needle and asked if I wanted to sit up and lay down. I said "I think I need to lay down anyway."
I laid down and was looking at the ceiling. She cleaned my lip on the outside and all that nice stuff. When it was time she did that same as before. "I am going to count to 3, on 3 breath in. There went the count down. 1-2-3 done! It took like 5 seconds to get the stud in and I was done. It was like, wow, its over. It was finally over. I guess all the waiting paid off in the end. This is just another reminder kiddies, don't try this at home. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
