I knew I had been due for a new piercing in May, but the question was what should I get next? My ears have become full, and I didn't think anymore tongue piercings was necessary. So I began searching BME to help me decide. I really would have liked to get my nipples pierced, but since I am only 16 this would be out of the question, because my mom would never go for that. Plus my piercer is very respectable and in order for an underage kid like myself to get my nipples pierced I would have to go a dirty place in the ghetto, and I know better then that. So above the neck piercing is what I was looking for something to show off and be proud of.

So I wanted a unique piercing that they probably wouldn't copy. So I decided on a monroe. Not very many people around here have that done, plus I love marilyn monroe so I thought the fake beauty mark piercing would suit me.
Finally the day came and I told all my friends at school that I was going to get a piercing, I tend to do that the day of the piercing cause I get overly excited. My friend Harmony went with me, she wanted to get pierced as well. So we get to Acid Works and I was looking around at all the jewelry, and flipping through Shelly's photo album of the people she has pierced. Shelly was out for five minutes so I wasted the time chatting with Harmony and looking at tattoo ideas. Finally she comes in and asked us what we wanted. Harmony wanted her labret. So I let Harmony go first cause I all of the sudden got really nervous. I knew that none of my piercings hurt at all and that I can take pain really well but I was still nervous. Harmony filled out all the forms and all that boring stuff, and sat down in the chair. I stood beside her watching Shelly get to work. I grabbed harmony's hand and turned my head away when the needle was going through her lip. I was starting to feel lighthe aded and knew I should have gone first. All these butterflies swimming in my tummy, I was turning into a wuss. Finally Harmony's piercing experience was over with and she had herself a sexy lip piercing.
I was now my turn my turn to get pierced something I had been waiting for since my last piercing. My mom filled out the form and I signed. Then my mom does what she always does when I get a piercing and that is leave the place immediately and go wait in the car. Shelly told me I should get a jeweled stud for my monroe. I agreed with her that it would be super cute, and picked the jewelry I wanted. Then she told me how she use to have a monroe piercing, and that I would look cute with one. I sat down in the chair and watched Shelly prepare the same way she did for Harmony. I was nervous, but figured in only a little bit longer I would look hella sexy. Shelly went to mark the spot to be pierced but she said that I was shaking and that I should put the dot on my face where I wanted it. So I looked in the mirror nervously marked the spot and asked if that looked ok both of them said yes. So she clamped my upper lip, but I don't really remember that part. I just remember holding Harmony's hand awww, and then having a needle hanging out of my face, while everyone in the piercing place watched. Finally she put the jewelry in and it was all over. I jumped up and checked it out in the mirror, I loved it! Then she said she was going to take me and harmony's pictures for her portfolio. I was excited about that because I had never got my picture taken to be in there. I felt honored cause I am a geek like that. Harmony and I posed together with our arms around each other showing off the new piercing, and then we each had our own close-up pictures. I went to the car to show my mom and she didn't even want to look at me, cause she was probably thinking that my dad is going to kill her. But she eventually looked and she liked it. My mom has a soft spot for piercings. Then we left happy as can be. We were so happy that we couldn't even look at each other without laughing and smiling which really sucked cause it hurt to smile. That car ride home was rather inte resting us laughing then crying cause of the pain of smiling definitel y very interesting. Well that is the story of my monroe piercing I hope you enjoyed it!
