Location Vernon, BC
It was a half-day at school and I had made plans for the latter half of the day, to go with 2 of my friends to get their tongue webs pierced. I called my dad and he came and picked us up and drove us into town. We got outside of Freedom and he gave me $30 for a shirt. So finally we approached the door after my dad bickering about the expense of shirts these days. Jacqui and Kyle were looking slightly nervous and a little bit shakey. As I opened the door the waft of 'Freedom'

Freedom:a term commonly used by Vernon teenagers and even adults as the smell of freedom body piercing and aftercare. for example 'oh man, I STILL smell like Freedom'

Anyways, the waft of 'Freedom' burst through my nostrils and as we walked up the stairs to the studio, I started craving and actually needing a piercing more and more. We walked into the studio, a few people were there and Vixn was at the counter smiling at me and eyeing my jelly beans (buttered popcorn flavoured of course) and so she came over, gave me a hug and stole them away from me. Then, with a mouthful of delicious, chewy, heaven, she disgustingly spouted: 'AWIE! I abnt sheen oo fo a wai-o. I fot at oo ah died' (roughly translated as 'Allie! I haven't seen you for a while, I thought that you had died') so finally she cleared her mouth and asked us what we wanted. after about 20 mins of begging, bickering and sweet talking, I got Kyle to help in my funding for a piercing but still didn't know what to get. I mean, I have a high pain tolerance for this type of thing so, anything should be fine. Well i was serioulsy seriously wrong! We helped Vixn roll up all the c hange that Jacqui brought in and i decided to get my lower frenulum (frowny) pierced. So we went in, and Brittany, Chelsea and Candace came in because Brit was getting her belly button pierced, so we all talked, got our piercing talk, and it began. Brit first, she was whining too much so i flicked her, then Kyle, he's a chicken(i had to hold his hand, AWE!), then Jacqui, the toughy (i held her hand too) and then *deep breath* it was onto me. We disgusses what would be better for me in there, and he said a ring should be fine. Then he gave me the lavender oil like always and I practically overdosed on it. So I sat there while he showed me what he was going to do. I held my lip down and breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, brea...STAB!, It was like a red hot knife was stabbing my gums, and here i was thinking it wouldn't hurt! like hell it didn't hurt! i was figeting around and blinking tears out of my eyes and as he tried to put the ring in (which, by the way, felt like it w as 2 guages bigger!), I flinched, and the needle popped out and stabbe d my cheek so I closed my mouth, thus making Brian have to pierce me again! so a 2nd time with the hot knife stabbing feeling but this time is was SO much worse. Kyle was laughing, the pain was killing me and Jacqui was squeezing my hand even harder than i was!! then finally, it was over. Or so I thought. the bead was on and then it was time to rinse. with mint mouthwash....can i say OW?

So NOW it was finally over. and we payed, then i went to my acting class and everyone there was crowding around to see my new pride and joy. I was on an adreniline high the whole rest of the day, I was so energectic in acting, and hyper, and social and then I got a hug and a kiss (never do that with a fresh piercing)from Richard (BONUS!!!) and all was well......that is....until I told my mom *rolls eyes* the look on her face was so incredibly enjoyable. it was too much to bear. She hates piercings so much, it's insane. After about 3 weeks the swelling went fully down and the pain was almost gone, except for this dull annoying pain. But other than that, I've had no problems with it.....well...except that time Corey changed my bead *OUCH*.

But all is well now, i'm not even getting denting in my teeth. My mom still frowns every time she sees it but that's her problem. My advice to you kids? Really think about it and if you really really want it. I've wanted this piercing for about two years and finally i got it. I truly think it was worth it, but some of you wont. Just, DO NOT FLINCH BY ANY MEANS
