Well it was my day off work and I had been planning to go down to Brighton with my mates to go shopping.. I just thought as I was there I might as well get something pierced.

I spend most of my evenings on BMEzine anyway so id been looking at the pictures and I really had become attached to the labret ....(and also the septum piercing but that's another story :P)
Anyway I thought the labret was really pretty and as I have quite full lips it would work really well and I found if I pouted I could hide it..:)) So I told my friends I was going to get it done .... My mate Ed thought it would be cool....My friend Jaynee thought it looked really pretty when I showed her some pictures of it and I quote " Im glad your not getting the bullring piercing " ....ooh just u wait my friend!!..... My ex-boyfriend told me he thought it was ugly and he would never kiss me again if I got it done.... Not the reason we broke up as he decided he found it quite sexy like a week later once he'd got used to it.
So off we all went to Brighton to get it done... We shopped and ate first (Always important to eat first in case u faint or feel dizzy).... I just wanted to shop first in case I felt sick and wanted to go home. We walked down Western Road to get Perforations , which is off some side street leading down to the sea front. When we got there I signed some forms and said I wanted it pierced with a labret stud rather than a ring which I figured I could wear later if I wanted to.
We waited for a while...reading Bizzare magazine..(arghhh don't you just love that magazine :) and then the guy (sorry I cant remember your name!!) Came upstairs and asked me to follow him down to the studio.
So off I went , I took my friend Jaynee with me as she wanted to watch it being done. I didn't mind having an audience iv had one for nearly every piercing and tattoo I have. The Guy was really nice and was talking to me about my ears and I was asking him about his piercings... From what I could see he had huge plugs in his ears...probably about ½ plus...he had really nice plugs too. He also had his bridge pierced which I a piercing I have also liked but would never get.... Because of work mostly but I don't really think its that femine..a labret and a septum can be .... No offence to anyone reading this but that's just my opinion :)
Well the guy cleaned the area and made a small black dot just under my lip and just where the crease in my chin is.. I looked and said that was fine. Then he asked me if I wanted freezing spray.... I said NO (FOOLISH!!) ,...he said fine and proceeded to get a clean unwrapped needle from the draw and showed it to me. He then unwrapped it and said "Right breath in...deep breaths" and then POP! I had a huge needle stuck through my lip.
Owwwwwwww it hurt ... Not as bad as tattoos but still pain..A bit like when u stab yourself in the lip with your fork... If you have ever done that of course... I hope its not just me :( It's more a sharp pain then a dull ache and it soon subsided. As the guy was getting the jewellery I started talking with the receiving tube still stuck through my lip and Jaynee said she felt really sick and would she mind if she went back upstairs.... So off she went... Wuss :P
The Guy put the jewellery through and told me to go look in the mirror. I loved it my beautiful little spot :) I went back upstairs, paid and grabbed and aftercare leaflet. As soon as we stepped outside though I started to bleed. I didn't know until my friends all recoiled in horror at the blood running down my chin! Jaynee's Boyfriend ran across to a restaurant and grabbed me some tissue.
So that was my Labret experience. If I get time I might write some on my Tattoos, and my ear stretching which I did myself with household objects because I'm a cheap skate. Right Questions...
Well it did hurt but not that much and not as much as tattoos and not as much as stretching my ears. Its a really pretty piercing even my parents like it and they don't usually appreciate my passion for getting needles stuck through my body :)...im quite surprised my New boyfriend likes em but he seems to be fascinated by my plugs and every time we go to the pub he entertains his mates by sticking cigarettes and matches through my ears....awwww love :P
