Thursday 12th of july. Seemed like good a day as any too get a piercing. I already had my tongue done and a retired eyebrow but I wanted something more, more extreme or something like that. So I went to bme ( of course! where else? ) hunted around and I came across a vertical labret and thought it was really beautiful and rare as well

I was in nijmegen staying with freinds and I had the money on me so we hunted down a piercing place and went downtown to get it done.
First choice was skin-a-matic becuase one of my freinds said it was a good place to get piercings ect... I had a picture of the vertical labret with me becuase I figured alot of people would not have done this type of piercing before. We walked in skin-a-matic and there was some black haired/tattoed/fat/short/chick that came and dident give me a very nice look in the first place you know one of those toe to head 'kid what the hell are you doing here with your non-tattoed-many-piercing-self?' I showed her the picture and asked if she could do it she took a quick look and straight up said no I was like why not? "I dont do this piercing becuase it cuases too much damage to the teeth" (anyone who has ever seen a vertical labret KNOWS THIS IS UTTER bs.)
UM!? YEAH ALRIGHT. I walked out extremly pissed off especially becuase I knew for a fact that chick was just being a bitch about it and I had been waiting around all day to get this piece of skin taken out of my body!
So with my freinds following me we ran all over town trying too find another place and we came across a little tattoo place called jackys tattoo and by this point I was so anxious to have THIS hole in my lip done and over with that I ran into the place and threw the picture on the table and started bitching about that chick every one there thought it was hilarious becuase she's known too have a bad rep.
Anyway the german guy looked at the picture and said yeah I can do this no problem. We ran down into the basement. By this point I was so hyped up from running around that I wasent even thinking about how much it was going too hurt any more. So he got everything ready.
Cleaned the area, fitted the barbell, dotted it, clamped on and got the needle ready and right before he pierced me I asked if he had done this piercing before Nope first time! um WA.. Starts pushing the needle through I felt one push of the needle in my lip then another ( my guess would be when it came out ). And YES IT HURT A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT I seriously doubt I would go through it again. Anyway I had two stream of tears running down my face and blood was gushing out of it. I mean ALOT OF blood and it bleed the whole way home also swelled up two times normal size.
The cool german dude took some pictures for his album. I payed him about a 100guilders (whice is good for a lip piercing) I promised him Id go back to skin-a-matic and spit some blood on the window for him. Whice I did :) hehe..
After that I felt extremly dizzy walking through the street (I lost alot of blood seeing I also had a heavy period. hmm joy). so we went to mcdonalds too get some ice and sit down it was pretty funny too see everyone's expressions. Most people laughed though! meanys.
My freind also sufered from a half broken hand. :/
The healing proces has been quite a bitch seeing the bleeding dident stop for about a week. Swelling went down in about four days whice was alright. Now its ok I can turn it and it wont bleed unless hit hard or I sleep on it wrong and even then it doesent bleed as much as it did for that week. I soak it in steril salt water whice is really good for getting the dead skin off your lip. And I rinse with listeren and keep my mouth clean whice is also important. Oh and also when it bleed that first week I left the scabs on in order to protect the openings for germs n such. I think it helped.
So all in all... in this story the no pain no gain factor definetly came into play,
But Im starting too feel the gain.
