I already have several body piercings and I really love them and the way they look. Several piercing later my mom tells me she doesn't think I should have any more and neither does the rest of my family. That I have enough already and that I am beautiful without them any way .

I explained what a labret was and that I really wanted it and that I couldn't wait until I was older. After about a week of pestering she finally caved and I made my appointment.
I am taking a piercing class at stargazer, and you need subjects for students to learn to pierce on. Since I am going to be a student I wanted to put myself into a subjects position.I had my Septum beautifully pierced that way and was going to let the same girl do my Labret.
The day I got my labret several other piercings were done a navel and tongue and a few others. I went first out of all my friends.Cause I already have several piercings and I was being a trooper.
I went into the room and she explained the piercing procedure and aftercare and what to do if anything were to go wrong. I completley understood everything and let the procedure begin.
After wiping my face with Betadine(which I really hate cause it smells bad and is just yucky) and rinsing for 30 seconds with some mouthwash I was ready to be marked. She remarked only once and I was happy with the placement.
She Measured and picked out some Jewellry. I got a standard labret stud witha simple small ball. I hate the small ball cause you can't really see it so when I heal I am getting a bigger one.
We were ready to pierce. I sat back in the chair and calmed myself so it wouldn't hurt. My best friend Marley was holding my hand and as soon as she seen the needle she started to shake and tell me how gross it was . I wasn't even afraid but that was okay.
She clamped me and clamped again cause she didn't like the position. The clamp is a wierd thing and no it doesn't hurt it is just a little uncomfortable.
After she got the clamp into a good position she showed Maribelle(I love her) (the teacher and another pro) to make sure she had done everything properly and that it looked okay and positioning was right. After she got the okay we got started. I got pierced with a 14 gauge stainless steel needle with a IV sleeve over it.
I took my deep breath in and exhaled. In and out went the needle. The tiny sleeve was in the piercing. I took another deep breath and said it wasn;t that bad and that I was ready for my jewels.
Jewellry insertion is always a bit of a pain for me but I brave it out everytime. It always (for me) smarts alittle. I took another deep breath and the jewellry slid right in with no pain. She made me push the post out so she could screw on the ball. After the whole thing I was very happy.
She took many pictures of me for her porfolio, I was happy to pose for them. She gave me all my aftercare and so me info about aftercare incase I forgot or needed to review it. I gave everyone hugs and was on my way after shelling out 30 bucks.
It is fine now and it looks great. At first it bothered my gums and was sore but after a few days it all went away.After care for this piercing is a double job cause it is both an oral and facial piercing. I have to use mouth wash after everything and I hate doing that. It is annoying and I feel gay but I still do it! Cleaning it is fine I just use the facial piercing clense and some q-tips and wipe it up and dry it off and I am done. I have to do this until I am healed. So I am looking forward to 3-4 weeks of mouthwash rinse. YUMMY!! My mom is getting used to it and my aunt thinks it looks like a big silver zit but I love it and that is all that matters.
When I heal I want to change it to a spike or cone or just a bigger ball.I can almost guarntee that it won't be my last piercing. I want to get my lip and maybe another labret and a madison and some more navels.
