In the past years, I've collected quite a few piercings. Currently, I have three in each lobe, two in my left cartilage, one in my right tragus, one navel, and now one in my right eyebrow. I've become so fascinated with body modification in the last year, and I'm currently considering a tattoo for my eighteenth birthday in twenty-two days.

When I went to go get it done, the piercer looked at my tongue and told me it wasn't possible because of the web of veins I have under my tongue and because my tongue is quite short, so that really disappointed me because that was one piercing I had been looking forward to for a while. I decided I wasn't going to leave empty handed, and considered two other piercings: tragus and eyebrow. I had thought once about getting my tragus when I saw a girl come into my job with it done which looked hot. As for the eyebrow, I hadn't really thought much about it, plus, at the time I was concerned about what my parents would think because they were still getting used to my new fascination with piercings. So of course, I decided to get my tragus done, and that was that.
After some months rolled past, I got bored with my once new piercing. It was time to get something done again. I knew I was someday going to get my other tragus done, but since my current tragus hasn't healed YET, I decided to wait on that one. Then I knew I wanted to get both of my rooks pierced, but I didn't have enough money to get two in one day. So I thought more about the eyebrow piercing, asked people what they'd think, asked my mom if she would tag along to sign the papers, and then it was all set.
I had no doubt about getting my piercing at inkers. I had gotten my navel done there a year ago and the place was VERY decent and clean, and not to mention well known for it's quality, yet expensive prices. The price didn't bother me at all though, because if I was going to get a facial piercing done, I wanted to get it done right. I didn't want my face to end up messed up just because I wanted to save money.
I decided to get it done two days after valentine's day since I had no school that day and that's the day me and my boyfriend always hang out because we both don't have to work that day, also my mom was off work too, so it was perfect. I didn't make an appointment because they never seem to be overly busy, or they're just always fully covered. I didn't really get nervous at all until I walked out of my car and realized I had walked right past the shop, so I walked back and went right in.
I went up to the desk and told them I wanted to get an eyebrow piercing. They handed me a form for me and my mom to fill out, and once we filled it out, they asked for both of our IDs so they could Xerox it and put it on file. I picked out my jewelry, which was a stainless steel curved barbell, and paid the 65 bucks. Violet, whom was the same piercer that pierced my navel, walked me back to the piercing room. My boyfriend followed but didn't come in, knowing that piercers don't really like having lots of people watching.
Violet had me sit on a doctor's looking bed, and asked which eyebrow I was getting pierced. I was kind of skeptic about it, but decided to go with my right eyebrow since it would even up with the rest of my piercings. Violet asked if I had any questions, and I had none at all, or I just couldn't think of anything, but my boyfriend started asking a few, like how long it would take for my body to reject the piercing. She replied saying it's different for everyone and it depends on how well it's taken care of, like if it's constantly being pulled and whatnot. After that, Violet cleaned my eyebrow and then pulled out a pen to mark it. It looked good the first time and I got my boyfriend's approval. She then pulled out the clamps saying this would probably feel uncomfortable. For some reason, this part never bothers me at all. She told me to close my eyes, which I had planned to do because I wasn't about to look at this needle going straight for my eye. So I closed my eyes, then felt the needle going through. It didn't feel like pain though. It felt more like pressure, and that's about it. I then felt her let go and grab for the barbell, and she told me this part might hurt a little. It stung just a little, but not much, then before I knew it, she was done.
It was bleeding a bit, but she reassured me saying that eyebrows like to bleed. I didn't really mind, because it didn't hurt, and I didn't feel blood pouring or anything. After about two minutes of soaking the blood up, she let me take a look. I liked it, but I didn't fall in 'love' with it, only because it wasn't the piercing I really wanted, just something I settled for because I wanted something done. It looked cute though, and my boyfriend really liked it. Once I left the shop, I forgot I even had the piercing.
I was told to clean the piercing 2/3 times a day with antibacterial liquid soap. Throughout the rest of the day, quite a bit of blood built up around the bottom ball, which I soon after cleaned, but still didn't hurt, only when I cleaned it, because the soap stung.
I would say this piercing healed up the best of them all, besides my lobes. I was worried for a week afterwards about it, because around the bottom ball, it kept scabbing by the end of the day and when I called the shop they said it shouldn't be bleeding or scabbing after the first day. So one day I went without cleaning it, and the scab healed completely, and I haven't had any problems since.
For anyone who's thinking about getting it done, I would go for it. It really doesn't hurt at all, and heals really well as long as you're not rough with it.
