Well I finally did it I got my eyebrow pierced. A couple of years ago I would have never thought I would do it because it was to visible, makes no sense to me now because I've had my labret pierced now for a little over a year and that's very visible. I've got multiple other piercing's non visible of course.

I had a talk with my boss and he told me if I kept it covered until I could take it out while I was at work he didn't have a problem with it. So with that said I decided that I would get it done, it was just a matter of when.
The when happened to be two days after the talk with my boss. That Friday night I was hanging out with some friends and we decided to go to Ink Link the local shop and my favorite one around. Everyone there is cool, I've never felt uncomfortable going there and talking with them about any of my piercing's. They've never bullshitted me. They always make sure you understand what you're getting into.
While one of my friends was getting some ink done I decided to see if Shorty (1 of 2 piercer's I've ever trusted with a needle near me) could do my eyebrow with a curved barbell I had. He looked at me surprised and said finally something normal (most of my piercing's are below the belt if you know what I mean) and laughed. Then he looked at the curved barbell and said sure. He walked to the back room and came out with one of the baggies for the autoclave. We dropped it in there he sealed the bag and said it would be out of the autoclave in about 15 to 20 minutes. I paid him the $15 dollars, that's all it costs when you have your own jewelry.
During that time I felt very anxious I guess I expected it to really hurt who knows. I went to see the progress on my friends ink not bad at all. And like many people do when they are about to get poked or inked I went to have a smoke before it was my turn. I went back inside and Shorty told me I was ready to go.
So we went into the same room I've gone into lots of times before hand and this would be the 2nd time we didn't need to close the door. So some people were watching from outside like many people do when piercing room doors are left open. I took a seat while Shorty got his equipment ready. Then came the question of the hour: What Side To Pierce? What the hell I don't know just do one who cares makes no difference to me. But he said I had to make a decision so I said go ahead and do the right side, because either way some day I would have them both done. He marked the spots, I checked and agreed with the placement. Next came the needle.
Now this is the funny part I'm used to pain when the needle goes thru, so I braced my self expecting pain and all I remember is feeling the point of the needle touching my eyebrow and my skin tugging as the needle went thru and that was it. I didn't feel a damn thing it was nothing, their was no pain what so ever. I got up and tipped Shorty like I always do.
Out in the waiting area Shorty gave me the famous after care sheet. I have plenty of those at home. I guess they're are supposed to hand them out no matter what. I can't remember the last time I followed the directions on one of those. One thing I do follow on that paper is sea salt soaks that is the best thing you can use for new piercing's. I have 10 piercing's all together and I have never had an infection or rejection (knock on wood). I Know that varies with person to person but if you take care of your piercing's and keep them clean they will do well. Sea Salts for soaking and Antibacterial soap from time to time just too keep the rest of the area nice and fresh smelling.
I went out to the waiting area and continued waiting for my friend he was almost done.
It is now Sunday and there still hasn't been any swelling or blood or anything I expected, there is very little discomfort when I sleep. The only thing that bugs me has to be wearing a band-aid over it, it's really annoying. Other than that every thing else is fine. I'm very glad and satisfied with the results.
To this day I still don't get how painless it was though.
This is definitely a good first piercing for someone that has never been pierced other than your ears of course. Hope I've helped someone out there to make some good decisions. Don't forget Sea Salts :)
