Well ok I've always wanted to have my eyebrow pierced! Ever since I was like 15 or so I'd say that I'd have it done by the time I went to college. The time was getting short and I wanted it done bad!

Well the days were drawing closer and I knew that I wouldn't be able to afford a tattoo but that I might get a "fun piercing." My eyebrow is what I had had in mind.
There were a few tattoo places around here, but I'm from a small town in Illinois and they're a bit scary looking. We have this friend who lives near St. Louis MO and she and our other friend new some people who worked there so it wasnt a real big deal. We decided we'd go there.
Well we arrive at the tattoo place and my cousin is picking out her tattoo and I had taken all kinds of harassment because I wasn't getting anything done. I was broke from the previous night of clubbing. Looking around at all the people I decided I wanted to get my eyebrow done SO BAD!! Well one of my other friends was there with us and she said she'd give me the extra money I needed to get it done and that she would pierce her belly button. I of course jumped on it! It was only $35 to get it done, so I handed over my license, the money and signed the contract sayin I wouldn't sue and there i was waiting for my turn in the the chair! I WAS SOOO NERVOUS!! I thought I'd stop breathing when i got in there! Steph kept telling me to calm down and I just knew I'd pee my pants or something! LOL
He called me and my friend in at the same time and said he would decide who should go first. He asked who was more brave and of course it was her so he MADE me go first. I climbed into the chair and watched as he prepared the needle and the ring. By that time I was totally freaking out!! I was shaking so bad and had all these thoughts running through my head: how will my parents react, I cannot tell my dad, what are the people at school gonna say, is it gonna hurt. Well he put the clamps on and I knew this was it. I started breathing kinda heavy and I knew that the next breath I took would be it. He shoved the needle through and said to keep my eyes closed til he said to open them. I did as he said, it didnt really hurt at all but I totally felt the needle go through! It was so weird! I LOVED IT THOUGH. At one point I actually thought I would pass out, but thankfully I never did. Now I actually think I'm addicted to the rush you get from getting a piercing. I want more!! haha I dunno what else I'm gonna do but soon I'll get something else, if not I'll get a tattoo.
When I was finished I said thanks and got up and thats when he started in on me. I was supposed to tip him!?!?! I had no money left what so ever so he pretty much kicked me outta his room! I dont think he was totally serious but I was scared. He was yelling all sorts of cuzz words and I didn't know what to do. I just looked at my other friends standing in the room and walked out and took a seat. I admired my new ring in the mirror and WOW it looked good! Kinda sexy..hehe
The whole 1.5 hr drive home I was in shock! I was scared of what my parents would say. My mom LOVED IT!!! My dad on the other hand thought it was really really dumb but now a month later there all cool with it! I had no trouble at all. It didnt get infected at all and occasionally I had some crusty's but nothing horrible. After about 4 days I hardly even knew it was there. I couldnt feel it at all, and within a week or so i was able to sleep on it. I'm looking forward to when I can put in a cute little barbell! Hopefully by the time Prom rolls around I can have sumthin cute.
The reactions I got from people were really weird. Most of the guys at my school wanted to rip it out while the girls thought it was cute. A few of my teachers didnt know what to think and the assistant principal wanted to use it to store papers!?! Now whats up with that? I DUNNO but it was weird. I like the attention and stares I get from strangers, they all look at me like I'm from another planet. I know that stereotyping isn't good or nice but most people who get facial piercings like to dress differently or in black. But for me its different I look nothing like the stereotypical girl with an eyebrow ring and thats why i got it I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH! I wanted to be different and NOW i am!
