When N/A
Two and a half months ago, after doing vigorous research, I had finally decided that I wanted to get my venom's pierced. I was prepared, knowing the complications, aftercare and the pain. I had chosen a very reliable piercer who I had complete confidence in, and I still do.

After arriving at the shop with my boyfriend, my piercer took us in the back to see if I was able to get them done. After a short check, he concluded that I was going to be able to get them done. I was struck with fear, and instantly became very shaky and warm. After filling out the necessary papers, we all headed to the back again (including the piercers apprentice, who was going to watch). After sitting in the chair staring at a giant mind illusion for a couple minutes, he was ready.

He told me to stick out my tongue, where he dried it off and told me it was going to feel drier than ever before. It did. He marked it, we made a few changes. Because of the way my veins were placed, he told me that they were going to be in the shape of a "V". I was okay with that, so we went ahead. Then, he reminded me that the second would hurt a bunch more than the first, due to your endorphins. And we were ready,(at least he was).

He slipped the first one through no problem, no pain. He grabbed the huge barbell, and slid it through, All the while I though that it wasn't so bad. He got the second needle stuck it through with a very sharp, very painful, stab. Then, continued to put the barbell through. Even the apprentice had a goofy cringe on his face when they were done. I wiped the bloody drool from my face, and looked in the mirror. They were already incredibly swollen but, They were great. I was so happy, and I immediately ran in the back for a cup of water.

After tending to them intensely over the next week, they looked, and started to feel great. As my boyfriend and I were on our way to a friend's house, they started to bleed a little. Not thinking much about it I swallowed it and continued to drive. A moment later, my mouth fills with blood again, I stick out my tongue, and blood starts to pour everywhere. I swallow it and continue driving to our destination. Seconds later, my mouth fills immediately with blood, again. I turned around, freaking out a little, and headed to the hospital, fifteen minutes away. All the way there it kept bleeding profusely ignoring the pressure I was holding on it.

After the hospital taking us in very quickly, despite the mass amounts of people in it, I spoke to the nurse who told me to hold lots of pressure on it with my mouth packed with gauze. We tried the several times with no successful outcome.

She came back minutes later with an enormous syringe, filled with an inflammatory to make the blood vessels swell to halt the bleeding and stuck in my tongue four times, packed my mouth with gauze, and waited. After five minutes, we ripped the gauze out and, hey! It was still bleeding. We tried this a second time, although this time she stuck the syringe right where it was pierced. After waiting, it had finally stopped. If it hadn't, she told me, that we would have had to stitch the piercing up.

She sent me away with a cup of ice, to go to another room to sit and make sure the swelling went down and it did not start to bleed again. And it didn't. After an hour or two of waiting I returned to my boyfriend faithfully waiting in the lobby. We went home, and slept.

In the morning I was awoken to my boyfriend telling me that I was sleeping in a huge puddle of blood. And it was everywhere, all over my face, the sheets, and in my hair.

A couple days later I went back to the piercer and told him my story, he told me that besides my trouble, they looked awesome. He told me that they were going o heal perfectly. And they absolutely did! I had no complications after that dreadful weekend, and they are absolutely wonderful. I would recommend them , just keep in account the dangers.

Besides the many problems I faced, they are still here, and they look great. The piercer did a wonderful job. He is very talented and he did an especially great job calming me down. And I thank the nurse very much for not pulling them out at once. Everyone including me, thought she would.
