It was last year around thanksgiving time and my friend Chris had just got his tongue pierced and I have wanted one for the longest time and since he got one it me more motivated to get one done.

So I tried to convince my parents into letting me get it done but they said no. So about two weeks later I was at my friends house getting my hair braided and my mom called there and was like you need to get your but home now. So I got a ride home from my friends mom and when I got there I had found out that my dad was on the way to the hospital and I had to watch my little brother. This all was the night before the ACT testing so it made it even more stressful than it would had been if he had just go into the hospital.

So my dad had to have emergency surgery and died twice on the operating table. So after the surgery he was in there for a total of two months. So I figured I would take this to my advantage so I asked my mom if i cleaned the whole house and watched my brother everyday after school meaning having no social life if I could get my tongue pierced she was like yes if you pay for it so I scored! I cleaned the house and had no social life, there were a couple of days where I had to stay home from school because of my brother.

So the next week me and my mom and my two friends went to serious ink in Fridley to get it pierced, the day had finally came and we went to this one place in Blaine to get it pierced because they had a discount sell going on so we got there and it ended up that I needed my birth certificate and identification card which I was really pissed about because I wasn't 18 yet they needed to see a birth certificate so we went back to my house and got it by the time we got back to the piercing place later that night they were closed I was so mad because it was only going to cost me 20 dollars and the place we ended up at cost around 60 but it was totally worth it overall.

When we got there we had to fill out the paper work and the additional paper work since I wasn't 18 yet, I picked out my barbell which was Blue and long since it was the first piercing which was a good thing they had otherwise the piercing would have gotten infected.

We got into the piercing room they had me sit down on a dentist looking chair and open my mouth and stick out my tongue as far as I could so I did and then he clamped it to see if any veins would be in the way of the piercing which I lucked out and there wasn't so I was happy. So he told me to swish around this mouth wash stuff that made my tongue numb and relax my tongue so I did. He opened the package that the needle was in and he put it up to my tongue and counted to three.. 1..2..3 and the needle was through I saw it going through and my goodness it looked weird. My mom was looking the other way the whole time and my friends were like I can't believe she is going through with this. At first my tongue didn't swell which pissed my mom off because she thought she was going to have some piece and quiet but of course I was talking bad and surely enough a couple hours later my tongue was nice and thick!

The following monday I had to give a presentation in my math class and I was the one who knew all the information so it was funny trying to explain it and no one could understand me so my friend had to translate for me. It was funny seeing the reaction of everyone in my class asking me if it hurt and all this other stuff. When you go out and eat dinner with your friends and it has only been a week after you got it pierced I suggest that you don't eat hot foods because I did and I had to suck on a ice cube for 3 hours because it swelled up more then it did when I had first gotten it pierced.

Well I totally recommend this piercing it is so much fun to play with once it is healed.

If you have any questions you can just email me!

THANKS and make sure to try to get yours done if your interested don't be scared.
