Well it was the day of my 15 birthday and me and my friend Amelia were talking about piercing that we wanted to get done when we were older. (or when we had the money for it). I said that i had wanted to get my tongue pierced cause I think it would be cool and cause my mom wouldn't like it!

Well Amelia being Amelia keep right at me saying lets get it, lets get it! I figured well hell sure why not, I just got $120 dollars from my mom for my birthday so why not. Well I was scared to think about everything that I would have to do and the pain. So I was a little scared to tell Amelia that I wasn't sure that I wanted it. Plus I knew that my mom would kill me. But she would be ok with it in a day. but i ended up falling asleep and in that time Amelia call Razz and found out the cost of everything. When I woke up about and hour later, Amelia told me that it costs about $60 to get it. So I was like ok, maybe this wont happen today and I can prep myself for this. So we let it drop for a wail till we went swimming in my pool. I kept thinking about it and I figured that it would be cool, and that I should get it done that day.
Amelia had to call them back once again to make an appointment. Our appointment was for 6:30pm. after we knew we were going to get it, we were freaking out and screaming.I think my cousin was a little surprised when I called her to tell her what i was doing later! She so wanted to come and watch but she had to work, so I promised that after she was done she could come by and see. Well Amelia had to go home and get ready and i needed a shower, so everyone went home. I got ready and called my other friend Catherine, (she is Amelia's best friend and she was coming with us). After that, the 4 of us waited for the next bus to come (another one of amelia's friends came if you are wondering why there are 4 of us). It was 6:20 and the bus finally came. We had 10 minutes to get there, wasn't going to happen. By the time we got to the place it was 6:45 and the guy was just starting to clean the place up.
He asked if we were the girls that called before, that made the appointments? We said yes and he took the 2 of us into this little room (only 1 person could watch). So I took Amelia in with me because I was going first, and plus she would be after me! haha , I sat down in this weird looking chair and he told me to fold me tongue up so he could see the bottom. He looked and then told me I had a perfect tongue for piercing. (I was happy about that). I was pretty scared when he started talking about after care. I asked some questions and he gave me straight answers so I wasn't that bad any more. Amelia was standing beside me holding my hand! ha ha. He gave me some really ,really gross mouthwash to rise my mouth out with before he started. Then told me to stick out my tongue as much as I could. After doing so, he began to clamp my tongue and mark it. After I was happy with where it was he handed me a kleenex and said, "in case you drool!"
He took the needle out from the package and a barbell (a longer one because your tongue gets swollen), he told me to take 3 deep breathes and on the third he was going to push the needle through. (My eyes were closed through this part) I remember that it hurt but, not as much as I thought it would, but I think that when he put the barbell in it hurt more then when he put the needle. He screwed the ball on and told me to wait a second because he had to screw it on tighter, after he took off the clamp and told me to swallow I was all better! I looked at the mirror and was very happy with my new piercing. and then it was Amelia's turn!
She was going great till she tried to fight him by pulling her tongue back, and she ended up making hers hurt a lot more then mine did. But after everything was done we walked out and joined our friends that were waiting. Paid for it and we were on our way.(And im happy to say that I didn't drool at all! ha ha Amelia did!) See it was pretty cool knowing that i just got it done. But the after care kinda sucks, you have to use this gross mouthwash for 10 days. And no sugars! (but only for the 10 days). I was sad about that when he told me. But my tongue didn't really hurt after that, it was hard eating, and I had to cut my food up really, really small. It was a little sore the next day and then after that it was pretty much ok.
Well it has been 2 months since I got my tongue pierced, I haven't had any problems at all, and it looks great! My friends love it and so does my new boyfriend. If anyone wanted to get there tongue pierced I'd say great! Get it ..you'll love it!!!! and in a couple of months I plan to get another tongue piercing in front of the other one.
