Well Its been about a month now, maybe a bit longer since I finally got, what I had been craving to do for years. You guessed It, I went and got my tongue pierced.

I always wanted my tongue pierced since I was about in year 9. I saw someone with one on tv and the idea just grew on me. Anyway, when I was in year 11 I knew that one day I would have It done, but I was silly and I thought that only strange people would get something like this done, so my dream remained just that, a dream

Anyway, I finished college and one day, while at a friends house, I noticed that she was talking funny, then I saw a flash, like light being reflected off something in her mouth. You guessed it. She had just had her tongue pierced. I thought It looked awesome and I told her. She told me that It didn't hurt much at all. Then another friend of mine got his done. So then I decided that It would probably be ok If I went ahead and got mine done to. I know what your thinking, that I cared to much about what my friends thought and all that stuff, but I did.

Anyway, there was one other problem. My family. Sure I was over 18 and I didn't need anybody's permission, but I didn't want them to find out because they just would not understand, well my sister would, but no one else. Anyway, that held be back, then one day I found BME on the internet and I started reading all the stories and the idea of actually taking the plunge and getting it done began to grow on me again. But nothing came of it.

A few weeks later I was down at the pub and my friends started talking about piercing, and it was like a light went off in my head and I though "Thats it, Im getting it done tomorrow". I didn't say anything at the time. I just decided to get It done.

The next day I rang up the only piercing clinic I knew of and booked an appointment for one thirty. I took some money out of the bank and drove to the clinic

I got there and there was not line or anything. The piercer later told me that they only did a set number of piercings each day so that they would not be rushed.

Anyway, I walked In the door and told the guy that I had an appointment for one tongue piercing. He asked for ID, but I had It so It was all good. Anyway, he gave me a form to fill In and It was then that i began to get nervous. I was thinking "Am I actually going to do this", But I knew I wasn't going to back out now.

He took me Into the piercing room, which was very clean. He was very professional and made me feel at ease. Out of ten, I would easily give him ten. Seriously he could not have done anything better then what he did. First up he asked me If i had any questions. I had a few which he answered. Then he said "Lets get started", and I knew I was about to get my tongue pierced for real.

He made me stick out my tongue and said that I would have to get It pierced a little further forward then i would have liked, but I like where It Is. He took out a toothpick and marked one end of It with a biro, then he put the toothpick on my tongue to mark the spot where he would pierce me. I agreed with the spot and he took out some clamps. I had read on BME that the clamps were meant to hurt, but for me, they were just uncomfortable. He then said I should shut my eyes and not look at the needle. I shut my eyes thinking what a good idea that was. So there I was with my tongue sticking out and a guy clamping It and about to stick a needle through my tongue. He stuck the needle through and yes It did hurt, but not much. It is hard to describe, but It was like a nice pain. Anyway a few seconds after that he said he was done and wow, I had a tongue piercing

I took good care of it afterwards. I brushed my teeth religiously. It healed up very fast and I was eating easily by the forth day.

This was a good piercing and If anyone is thinking of getting It done, then just do It. I love this piercing and you will to.
