I have always wanted my tongue pierced. Two of my friends have theirs done and I liked it very much. When I was sixteen my step mom said that I could have it done and that she would even pay for it, we were already in the town were the place was, but when we got there I chikened out. I couldn't believe that I did that and on the way home I was determined to get it done, sometime.

Studio The Tunnel Location Kane, PA Four months after my 18th birthday my friend called me and said that her and another one of my friends were going to get piercings. I was kidding and said "Maybe Ill get my tongue pierced" she flipped out and said to come and get it done. I really didn't think that I would be able to do it since I didn't do it the first time. But now it was two years later and I thought I could handle it.
I didn't know if I was going to get it done but I took money just in case. When we got there the man who would pierce us was very nice. He made us feel very comfortable. My one friend then got her nose done while I was still thinking about getting mine. All that I kept thinking was that they were gong to get theirs and I didn't want to be the person who didn't get anything done. And when we got back that I wouldn't have anything to show people.
Then it was my turn and I thought, well Im here so I better do it. He took my back and everything was very sterile, so I wasn't as nervous. The man was very nice and told me exactly what he was going to do. He put the clamps on, which I will admit hurts. I was drooling all over the place.
I had my friend hold my hand while he did it, then he put the needle through and that didn't hurt. I just wanted those clamps off. Next he put the barbell in which didn't hurt but it was very big. Finally he took the clamps off and that was the best feeling, It didn't hurt anymore. He told me to rinse with listerine for four to six weeks and gave me paper on what to do.
It only bled a little bit and afterwards I didn't have much trouble speaking. It didn't swell to much that day but the next day it was very swollen. I paid the piercer his 40 dollars including two barbells and then I was done.
Next my other friend had her piercing and I was just happy that mine was over. I couldn't stop looking at it the whole way home. I was so happy that I did it.
The place where I went to get my piercing was very good. Everything that I saw was in packages and he changed his gloves about five times. He also didn't rush us, he talked to us and told us all what to expect. I would recommend this place to anyone.
When I got home I said to my parents " I got a suprise for you" and I stuck out my my freshly pierced tongue, they were happy, and grossed out. They knew that I wanted it and were happy for me. They couldn't believe that I had the guts to do it, and neither could I.
That night I couldn't eat anything and it took a few days to be able to eat. When I was able to eat I was bitting my top ball, which hurt a little. It swelled up for about three days, it wasn't painful but just frustrating. For the first week I just wanted to take it out to eat then put it back in but I knew that I wouldn't be able to get it back in.
I went back in six days for my friend to get her tattoo filled and he said that it looked good and that I could change it in a couple days. Two days later I changed it myself and that didn't hurt at all, it felt weird though. I just recently changed it again to a cool one, that's one of the best things about getting a tongue piercing, you get to pick out barbells, and play with it!
Now its a month later and I love it!! Piercings are very addictive and I am thinking of what I want next. I never thought that wanted a tattoo but now that Iv had a piercing I am thinking about it. Now that its been a month I don't even realize its in my mouth. If you have any questions about anything just e-mail me. I hope you enjoyed my story.
