Tattoo lover gets poked.
At A Glance Author ink_freek Contact ink_freek@yahoo.com When Six months ago Artist Roger Studio New Age Tattoo and Body Piericing Location Springfield IL I have been getting ink since I was 18; I am now 27. I have 13 tattoos. I was sitting around drawing up my next tat, when it hit me. I wanted to try a piercing. I had never really thought about piercings before so of course I turned to the internet to find out what I could. I never realized how many types of piercings there were. My eyes all but fell out of my head. Some of them just didn't look like something I would be "into" or honestly they looked painful. After looking all over the "net" I decided that either the tongue or the eyebrow was what I wanted.
I am probably going to sound like a weenie but I went and talked to my boss. I asked what the policy for piercings was. I didn't want to get something that I would have to take out right away. I was told no facial peircings. Well, that took care of the eyebrow ring. I asked if tongue piercings were ok. She stuck her tongue out at me (revealing a barbell I had failed to notice before) and said I don't think those are a problem. My boss and I spoke for a few minutes and I asked her about her experience getting "poked". She told me her story. With my mind made up I headed for the shop.
When I walked in there were a few people looking through flash books. I walked up to the counter and told the guy I wanted to get my tongue done. The guy, Jason told me to have a seat and he would get Roger the studios' needle pusher. Roger came out and brought out a form for me to sign. I showed I.D. Roger asked what I would like done. I told him my tongue. As we went to his area of the studio my heart was starting to beat faster. I sat in the chair and was told to rinse with a liquid that tasted something like uranium. While I was rinsing with this horrid liquid Roger was getting set up. I was never so happy to hear the word "spit" in my life. Pulling on the latex gloves and a wry smile on his face Roger asked "where would you like it?". I smiled and said " Make my girlfriend happy." I relaxed a little after that exchange.
I am sure I was a site sitting their mouth agape and tongue poking out the middle. When the clamps were put on my tongue I jumped. Adrenalin was coursing through my veins. I was strung tighter than a cheap guitar. With a small chuckle Roger said "ready?". "Yeth" I said as the clamps held my tongue. I felt Roger place the needle on my tongue. Then with nothing said he pushed it through. There was a sharp pain and then nothing. I felt the clamps release and wanted so much to close my mouth and swallow. I was drooling considerably. Roger uttered "few more seconds". I felt a little pressure as Roger replaced the needle with the barbell. As the exchange took place the needle fell on my chest. I about freaked. I thought "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!?!?!?" Seeing the panic in my eyes, Roger explained what had just happed as, when he put the barbell through the needle fell out and onto my chest. I thought part of my tongue fell off! I never read anything about that and my boss failed to mention it also. (I told you weenie) A second later the ball was on and I was done.
I closed my mouth and my eyes for a second. Taking some deep breaths I opened my eyes and got up. I didn't feel woozy in fact I felt great! I was given a care sheet and told to call or come in if I had any questions or problems. I went out through the lobby I had entered. I was eating normally that night. The only thing I had problems with was bread. It is hard to explain but it was hard to deal with at first. I went home and was greeted and questioned by my girlfriend. (She has multiple piercings.) I told her I felt fine.
I have had my tongue done for about 6 months now. I am happy with it, but I think I will stick to ink. I get a better rush from ink sessions, and I just all around enjoy ink more. I did make friends with the guys at the studio and am considering having them do some ink work for me.
Well, I hope this is what you were looking for in a story.
