my mouth is full of stuff

I've always been very intrigued by tongue rings. At a party one time I kissed a guy just because he had a tongue ring and i wanted to see what it was like. I was so excited to turn 16 because 1-I could drive my car, and 2-I could get piercings with out my parents. I got my belly button done a little over a year ago, my mom took me, and she wasn't too happy about the whole deal but I'm such the little manipulator that I got her to take me.

Now, back to the tongue, I have braces, and have rubberbands that i'm sposed to hook on the brackets to fix my crossbite. (this is where the mouthfull of stuff comes in) I didn't know if that would be a problem, but eventually decided I shouldn't get in the way when I go to the orthodontist. I emailed a couple people who's stories I'd read on BME and asked what they thought and they said to ask my orthodontist but I did't want to in fear that he would say DON'T DO IT which i'm pretty sure he would have. My next appt. by the way isn't til the end of November so it should be healed and painless by then incase it does get knocked around a bit when they are working on my teeth.

Me and my boyfriend were gonna go get it done together. we had both wanted to get it done for awhile, but I kept stalling and I was worried about band and the whole orthodontist thingy like I said. I play the trumpet and I can still play perfectly fine. I was very surprised about that. My braces affect my playing more than my tongue ring does.

Well my boyfriend is a dork and he couldn't find his ID so I ended up being the only one to get it Friday the 13th (ooh). He had me wash w/ the listerine (Yuck!) and explained what he was gonna do. I was so pumped to get it that I felt basically no pain. He told me to stick out my tongue as far as I could and not to try to pull it back in or anything. Then he dried it w/ a paper towel and checked it out. he marked it with a marking pen and grabbed it with the forceps and i closed my eyes. I just went and took my friend to get hers done today so i know what happens after that! He stuck the needle through the top and left it there, then stacked the barbell on top of the needle and slid the needle out and the barbell went in right after the needle and he screwed the ball on and it all takes like 20 seconds. It was really cool to watch and I kinda wish I had watched mine.

AFter I got it done I was so relieved that it barely hurt. Me and my boyfriend went to the Sub shop next door to get me some ice water and we went to a movie so i could just chill out and drink my ice water. I think I drank 3 gallons of ice water that night i was so scared it would swell. I probably peed 7 times too. But it worked cuz it barely swelled up at all. My parents still don't know. I talk to them a lot and got confirmed yesterday but they still don't know somehow. which is probably good. I told them i was gonna get it done but they said no of course. But kept tellin them and the thursday before i got it, i told them i was gonna get my tongue pierced and they didn't say anything to me so i got it done friday. whatever that means.

My boyfriend got his done the day after i got mine (his ID was under the floormat of his car) and pretty much had the same experience as i did. except for that when i first got mine, I kept it in my mouth cuz I wanted it to heal. he played with his constantly!!! and his swelled. He is kinda stubborn like that. hehe. Kissing is really cool. sometimes they'll click on eachother and its just really neat. today i got a tiny little dice bead for the top its cute. i love my tongue!!!!

well shitty i tried to submit this but I'm short some like 31 words or somethin. I'll tell you about people's reactions. I am best friends with my brother's college room mate and so I told him and he said when he told my brother, he was kinda speechless. My brother said he wanted to get his done back in the summer and promised to take me with to watch, but he never did it. So looks like I beat him to that one huh? All my friends thought it was the coolest and like i said before, my one friend just got hers today. I have yet to find out what my parents reaction is, but they are awesome so I don't think they'll be too mad.
