I never really wanted my ears pierced and I definitely didn't want them stretched. Ever since I could remember, I thought all stretching looked gross and any ear piercing on a guy was gay. But ever since getting older and getting into the hardcore scene I've really started to think twice about that.

It was totally different than what I was used to but I really grew to like it. I completely credit hardcore music to my sudden interest into body mods.
So about 2 months ago I started thinking about getting snake bites (piercings on both sides of your lower lip) and stretching my ears. My parents said no immediately because I would never be able to get a job and everyone would think I was a bad kid and all that stuff that you would expect your parents to say. Then one day in the car my dad said he had seen someone with 2 gauge ear lobes and he didn't think it looked that bad so he said I might be able to get it done (snake bites were and still are out of the question). So he took me to the studio to check things out. Before going, I had been debating on whether or not I wanted to get it pierced at a 12 gauge or a 10 gauge, I knew I wanted to start out big but I didn't know how big. While I was there, I looked at a 12 gauge needle, it scared me but I thought, if it's going to hurt either way, I might as well just get it pierced at a 10 gauge.
So a few days later I was in the studio with a 10g needle held up to my ear being told to take a deep breath. For those of you wanting to do the same thing, don't worry It didn't hurt that bad at all, it was sore for a while but other than that it was ok. Here is exactly how they did it, I went into to the back room and sat on the table, they clipped my hair back and he marked my ears with a marker to see if I liked where he was going to put them. He put on some gloves and grabbed the already sterilized needle, he pushed it up to my earlobe and told me to take a deep breath and then let it out. As soon as I let it out he shoved the needle through and slid the captive ring in behind it. They did my brother's the same way except they pierced it with a ten gauge needle and then stretched it to a 10 gauge. The left one was nothing and the needle slid through pretty easily, the right one hurt a little bit more and wasn't as easy to put through because of the scar tissue in my right ear lobe, but when it was all said in done there weren't any complications and everything turned out the way I wanted it to. So for forty bucks I had a 10g CBR put in both of my ears, my dad even paid!
Over the next few days my ears were really sore and they bled a little bit the first day and cleaning them hurt like hell (soaking your ears in sea salt speeds up the healing and makes the pain go away faster). Within about three days they didn't hurt that much and I could touch them a little bit without it hurting and cleaning was not that much of an issue, after about a week I forgot they were there and I could sleep on them and everything with no worries. It has been two weeks and they feel so healthy that the only reason I am not stretching yet is because I still have crusties.
I'm really glad I did it and I can't wait to stretch up, I have already gone to hot topic and bought some 8 gauge pinchers and a 6 gauge taper plug combo pack. The CBR's I have in look stupid and I can't wait to get them out.
So as of right now I am at a 10 gauge, my parents are only letting me stretch to a 4 but I'm probably going to go to a 0. It has only been two weeks but so far I have no regrets. In my dad's defense, I did lose my job because of the piercings but if I could go back I would still do it. Fuck Braum's.
