Yeah, just carry on reading to find out what the title is about!

It was payday again, so me and my fiance were going shopping, like we did every payday. I was wondering that week what new piercing I should get, and I was set on another nostril stud, so I had two. I was going to get a Monroe, but we were having a barbecue that night, and I like my barbecues.

We went into Bangor, which is a half an hour drive from Holyhead, and set ourselves free for a wild shopping spree. It was pretty warm that day too. After a while, my mum phoned me and said she had some food for me, and I was starving. Also, I needed the food before I got my nostril piercing. She gave me a huge tray of chips, and I bought myself an energy drink to keep my sugar level up. My mum decided to say "Oh, you haven't had your nose done yet! Why?" when I had only just got into Bangor.

So I ate, and me and my fiance were off to my beloved piercer, Diane. When we got to the studio [Which is a very clean studio, I forgot to mention in my last story] and stood at the counter. The tattoo artist, Mwshi, was there, and said Diane had gone out, so he phoned her, and told her how I was here for yet another nostril piercing. 20 minutes, ok. It gave me a chance to chill after the walk, and I had 2 phone calls, maybe 3.

Diane arrived with her daughter who used to go to the school I just finished, and we went in. I filled the forms, age, name, all the important things, and we were off. She dotted my nose and lay me down. The needle went through, a pain I am quite used to. But we were there for about half an hour trying to get the jewelry in. Eventually, we gave up. She kept saying "You and your awkward nose!" [hence the title]. She then said to me, "Are there any piercings you want on the house while you are here?" which was really nice of her. I was going to be coming back the following monday to get my second lobe holes done, so I just said them.

She asked how many I wanted, and I told her to just do one for now, and see if I am strong enough for the pain. The thing with Diane though, is she never warned me when she was going to put the needle through. She got a sterile needle out of a tightly closed packet, showed me the Best Before End date [2012?!] and asked me if I was ok with her using that needle. I said yes. My fiance decided to come in with me this time, and seems I don't remember the pain of an ear lobe piercing, I held his hand while he looked away. I was breathing heavily to prepare myself for the pain, so it sounded like I was giving birth.

"Hoooooooarghhhh!"

Yes, I did make that sound when it went through! I sounded like a pirate. But as soon as the needle was through, there was no more pain. Plus the pain was tolerable. I told her to do the other ear seems I was on a roll.

"Hoooargh!"

Second needle was through. She even gave me a pair of earrings for my first holes, seems I didn't have any decent earrings at home. I also left with some new jewelry for my nose. I decided I wanted to pay her for all the trouble, so she said I could have 2 for 1 on the earrings, which meant £5. I was extremely happy with that price, so I paid and left.

From then on, I was bouncing all the way back home and through the barbecue. I had a bath when I got back too, and I was dodging my ears the whole time, which was easy. But since I had them done, I have had no pain at all, except for bumping it. I have just totally left it alone, and they look amazing. I haven't used any solutions on it or anything. I'm sticking with the LITHA way [Leave it the Hell alone], and it always seems to work on me. Diane even says its the best way to let it heal properly.

If you are new to piercings, or want one simply because you are bored, I highly recommend second lobes. Also, if you live in Bangor, or around it, I strongly recommend Diane at Ink & Gems. After all, she is one of the only two in Wales that is properly qualified for piercing.

Happy piercing!
