Yesterday, it finally happened. I had been begging my parents for two long years of my life, and they finally caved. Well, here's how it happened. Both of my parents have a thing against any type of body modifications (even though my mom has 2), though my mom is much more tolerant than my dad. Before my industrial, I only had 3 lobe piercings (one on each ear stretched to a 6g) and 2 cartilage piercings (both without my dad's permission). A couple months ago, I told my mom that I wanted an industrial piercing for my 14th birthday, November ...

So I had known for a year or so I wanted some kind of oral piercing, and I knew my mom wouldn't let me get my tongue pierced, so I had to choose a lip piercing. At first, I was really into just a classic off-center piercing, on the right side. After I thought about it more, I decided I wanted a bit of a classier, less edgy location. I thought about it and became dead-set on getting a monroe. They are so pretty and classy, yet still edgy. After a couple of months of knowing I wanted a monroe, ...

Hello BME community! I'm Meg and I'm delighted to share my experience of my wrist surface piercing with you. I have been interested in body mods/piercing since my mum had her navel pierced when I was about 9 and within a week of her having her navel done I insisted to get my ears pierced for my birthday and you know what the addiction is like it went from there. I was doing some research on a new piercing and wasn't sure what to get, Until I found the 'surface piercing' section on BME and immediately fell ...

I fell in love with body modification when I was around fourteen. Before that, I never quite understood why anyone would want piercings or tattoos.I was also terribly afraid of needles.I didn't even get my ears pierced until I was in sixth grade. For those reasons, I never thought I would have anything else pierced. That's changed, because I now have eight holes, including my first lobe piercings. And yes, those were done with a gun at Walmart. In my defense, I didn't know that guns weren't the best piercing tools, at the time.Anyways, let's get to the story of my first piercing that was ...

I've had my septum pierced a twice before by friends, not the smartest thing to do. Both times, I didn't come out with a septum piercing. I recently turned 18 in September so I thought there isn't really anything I would like more on my birthday than to get my cute septum piercing professionally done. Finally. Years ago I first saw the septum piercing online and fell in love. It's perfect, I can have my own facial piercing and have the lovely ability to flip it up and hide it. Always a plus if you have a conservative family or ...

My fascination with body modification has previously lead me to two off center tongue piercings, a DIY septum, various other piercings around the body, scarification and more. Now, I have discovered microdermals. Their low rejection rate with proper care and originality gained my interest quickly. After researching care, procedure, success and reading many stories I was ready. I was off to the shop to set up an appointment with my piercer who has previously done my double off center tongue (venom's), double monroe's (retired) and tragus,I decided on getting four microdermals, two under each clavicle. I let him know how ...

Years ago, as a teen, I had wanted to get my ears pierced. Piercing anything, including ear lobes, was frowned upon by my very conservative and religious family. I begged and pleaded and after begging some more, my parents finally gave in and took me to a Doctor one Saturday morning. The Doctor pierced a hole in each of my lobes with two very thick needles sitting in a paper cup filled with rubbing alcohol. I was so happy to have my new piercings that I didn't even care that it hurt bad and that I fainted right after the ...

This is a story of my first ever facial piercing: my left nostril. In my family, all piercings are frowned upon. My parents saw my multiple piercings on my ears (AFTER I had already turned 18, mind you) and said, "Okay, you're done." But I definitely was not. I got my nipples pierced (which is definitely a great story for a later time) a little while after my ear-piercing run, and then I wanted another one. I should preface my story with this: I got my dad's approval on my nostril piercing (which is a MIRACLE), because I knew for ...

Out of all piercings, the tongue is definatly my ultimate favourite. Even when I was allowed to get my first piercing, I was anoyed, because I was only allowed to get my navel done. But I suppose at that age, beggars can't be choosers. When I was fifteen, I came up with a plan I thaught just couldn't fail. After countless arguments with my Dad over not letting me get my tongue pierced, I gave him an ultimatum. Leave me get my tongue pierced or every Sunday I will pierce my ears myself until you let me. 'Fine' he said, ...

I've been into getting body modifications for several years now, beginning with my right cartilage and moving into three tattoos, two septum piercings, a multitude of other ear piercings, nostril, lip, and hips. I decided to get my nipples done after seeing a friend's nipple piercings a couple of months ago and falling in love with them. I had read several experiences on BMEzine and had accepted the fact that it was probably going to be my most painful piercing, but I wanted to get it done so badly! About a month or so ago I decided to go to ...
