My ongoing stretching case

For the benefit of American readers, I have included the Gauge as well as the MMs. A while back, I started going to Camden at the weekends. If you haven't heard of it, then google it, wikipedia it, whatever. Since then, I have been getting more and more interested in low-level body modification (EG piercings, tattoos etc). I am also REALLY into heavy metal culture, but I have created my own style, which incorporates a stretched ear. Most of my friends dig it, but people in my school ,being the narrow minded, chavvy scum of the earth they are, have ... read more

My septum

I woke up with that urge. People who have at least one form of body modification will know what i'm talking about, you know that desire to get something, to feel the adrenaline rush of getting a new piercing or tattoo once again, well, I was no stranger to that feeling. Having already had angel bites, side labret, tragus, smiley, nose, 10mm ear lobes and countless other ear piercings, there was only one more thing I wanted. A septum. I had wanted it for a while now by my parents hated it and so did my friends. "Ew, it looks ... read more

My journey from an 18G through a 0G!!!

Hello All! Well my journey into ear stretching started a few months ago! I have always wanted to, but never got around to. My reasoning behind it is that it looks cool, the culture roots behind it, and I love the jewelry plain and simple. I decided to go to Claires at a local mall, got gunned, I wouldn't recommend the gun when it comes to initial ear piercing (go to a tattoo shop). I let the piercing heal for 6 weeks then sized up to an 18G (1mm) ring. That stretch was easy, not a big difference at all. ... read more

Lobe Scalpelling to Correct Placement

A little over a month ago, my ears were scalpelled from the 9mm range to 11mm by John Kid of The Piercing Lounge in Madison, WI. I had been stretching my ears for almost four years at that point, largely without the help of professional piercers (hey kids at home, remember that nine times out of ten, it's better to stretch your own ears!). I had been at my original goal size of 00g (wearing mostly 9-9.5mm plugs) for about two years, but eventually I decided to bite the bullet and move up to 1/2" for two reasons: 1. My ... read more

Do I dare? I Daith.

Those of you with good memories may remember that two months ago I wrote up my experience getting my snug pierced. I mention this not because I want to give you a detailed follow up right now, but because I fear comparisons between the two experiences are inevitable. So please bear with me. A quick recap: Prior to all this cartilage piercing business I have gotten my nose and belly button pierced and my lobes have two piercings. I also have two failed attempts at a helix and a failed attempt at a third set of holes in the earlobe. ... read more

my new favorite piercing!

I had wanted a medusa/philtrum piercing for a couple of months. I was hesitant at first because I really like my mouth, especially the cupid's bow, and I really didn't want it to be off-center or have it swell up like crazy. I also wanted it to be perfectly dainty. I had a very particular image of how it would look--teeny and adorable. [I know, I sound crazy, but it's a piercing in the middle of your face! It should be perfect!] I also couldn't decide between getting a medusa and a madonna, but after the consultation of several friends, ... read more

My favorite piercing!

After months of wanting my tongue pierced, I finally decided to get it done. I had researched tongue piercings for a couple of weeks and the pros outweighed the cons. I had gotten my tragus pierced at a tattoo/piercing shop about five months before but the place I went to was kind of sketchy so I wanted to find a different establishment to get my tongue piercing at. I had heard through a couple of friends that Pour Boiz was a really great place for tattoos and piercings because the employees really know what they are doing. A friend of ... read more

Love the look - hated the healing

I had been fascinated by body modifications since college, but was hesitant to actually go through with it. My only two piercings, previously, were in my ears. My mom had gotten me pierced at four years old in some random chair at the entrance to JC Penney, I think. It wasn't the most pleasant memory as that piercing gun made some pretty scary noise to my little ears. Since my childhood, though, I had met some pretty interesting people with some even more interesting modifications. I had high school friends with wrist tattoos and eyebrow piercings, college friends with nipple ... read more

Diary of a tongue piercing

When I was seventeen, I wanted to get my tongue pierced. So I researched it, put some tongue bars in my wishlist at bodyjewelleryshop.com, went to a piercing studio and had my tongue checked. I was told I had too many veins. If I was pierced, I wouldn't stop bleeding. Broken hearted, I left the studio, emptied my wishlist at bodyjewelleryshop.com, and deleted my saved web pages. That should be the end of the story, yes? Well...no. Otherwise, this diary wouldn't exist. I got my tongue web pierced. I liked it, of course I did. The experience is on Bmezine ... read more

I fainted, and it was entirely my fault.

I arrived at blue banana half an hour before I was going to get pierced, because they needed to sterilize the jewellery they were using for my navel piercing. I was asked to fill out a form and show a form of identification. After this the deputy manager of the store asked if I had eaten lunch that day, I lied and told him I had, which was my major mistake regarding this piercing. He advised me to have a sugary drink and return to the store in 30 minutes. I paid for the piercing, and headed to a newsagents ... read more
