So this will be an account of the two 14g, CBR labret piercings I got a month ago. To date these make my 9th and 10th piercings; the previous 8 being four lobes, a conch and three tongue piercings. Two of the lobes and the conch were recently self done, but I decided to get the labrets done professionally. Self piercing is an increased risk everyone considering it must judge for themselves. I judged that the prevalence of placement (being the first thing most people see) justified having a piercer put them in. As for the experience of getting them ... read more

"I'm here to help clean up the blood.."

Stretching has been a very long and painful journey for me, and for 7 years worth of work I only had these dinky little 3/4" lobes to show for it. When I decided to move forward from the size I'd been for over 2 years I realised two things: 1. My left ear was thinning at the bottom and 2. I had a blowout and some pretty good sized keloids on my right ear that I felt would make the process more difficult. My first priority was fixing the problems before going any bigger, so I went about looking for ... read more

My DIY tongue web experience!

Okay, so, it all started when i was about 13. I had just one piercing in each lobe, and wanted more. So i got a second hole, a couple of years later, got a third one. And slowly over the past couple of years I've desperately wanted to get pierced, somewhere not very common. I'm a person who tends to enjoy being different sometimes. And i wanted a piercing that was different. So after reading a bunch of stories on here, I got my smiley pierced. But that's another post. So one day, I come across a picture of a ... read more

I've been wanting snakebites on and off for about 3 years. I got bored one day, so I started looking at pictures online of them, and fell in love instantly. They where perfect - Where I live, not a lot of people have them, and none of them on guys. I wanted to be different, to stand out from everyone else. So I started talking to my girlfriend - who has an apprenticeship - about it, and she said she'd do them for me. That was the easy part. Now to convince my mom. Once I had finally picked up ... read more

I call it...Mystery Piercing!

About a month ago my dorm mate and I realized that very familiar sensation told us that we needed a new piercing. The last piercings I had gotten were my nape (R.I.P!) and my tragus on my right ear back in late March. Over six months later I knew I could handle another piercing, but what was now the question! After some research here on BME I fell in love with the daith. Oddly enough, Mena (my mate) had tried to convince me to get a daith back in July when I went to get my nape adjusted. The urge ... read more

A Five Year Whim

College is about growth, decisions, both good and bad. When I turned eighteen I had gone to a random piercer in Orlando and had my eyebrow pierced. Two months later the piercing had grown out and left a scar, to this day small children run up to me and point out their chicken pox scars in relation to the eye brow mark I bear. Two years after the failed eyebrow piercing I was entertaining the idea of a tongue piercing. I honestly don't know what appealed so much about the piercing, but my junior year in college I was in ... read more

My impromptu philtrum/medusa

About a week ago I realized that I could pierce my lip starting from the top of my bottom lip and ending below my lip. Why is this important when I'm writing about my philtrum piercing? Well, when I realized this and found out it was an actual piercing, a vertical labret, I decided I would go to Evolved the very next Thursday to get it done. The thing is Evolved has a buy one get one special on Thursdays. At first I decided I would get the other side of my navel but changed my mind to my other ... read more

Growing and shrinking, 12mm

I first decided to stretch my ear in March 2008. It was the craze at school, with everybody shoving tapers haphazardly into their ear lobes, squealing with pain, and waiting meagre days before continuing the ugly process. I had always admired stretched lobes and had wished to do it myself for some time, without understanding or researching the processes involved. While cynically watching my schoolmates' attempts, I decided that I wanted to do it too, and properly. So I BME-ed it and googled for an entire evening, deciding how to go about the process. On the not-long-awaited Saturday afternoon, I ... read more

Just want to get it right...

I already have more than a few body mods but that same old itch to get another one hit hard. I started out by looking around on Google and BME before finally deciding on the right side of my lip. I didn't have but a little bit of money at the time so I figured the best option would be one that I could manage on my own. My lip didn't seem to be something difficult or something that would require much experience. First things first, I had to get my supplies. This gave me about four or five days ... read more

"Go big or go home"

I'll make sure I don't leave any detail out! Well, a few months ago I saw glass talons and barbs for the first time. A friend of mine showed me, and for whatever reason I wanted them stuck in my head. I just really liked the way the glass looks, the colors and different styles really appeal to me. I've have piercings done before, like my tongue and ears with small gauges, and I was never really excited about them. I had them removed a long time ago as a result. So aside from my ink I haven't had any ... read more
