When I was fifteen, I thought I would be tattooed, but never pierced. It frightened the shit out of me. I mean, seeing a huge needle taking off a piece of flesh from me, it was like the last thing. I wanted to do. And I got pierced before getting tattooed. It was a stupid bet. I was friend with that girl on my second year of university. We were talking one night at a bar, and the conversation ended up on "if you ever get pierced, where it would be?" It was in 2001, she wanted it on the ...

For months I've been infatuated with the Monroe piercing. I think it's beautiful on women and felt that it would look even better on myself. I have always loved how beautiful tattoos and piercings can make people. The only issue holding me back was whether I wanted to do it alone or not. I'm not a stranger to these things at all, but I still don't like to have something done alone. I had looked at numerous pictures and read stories about the procedure, many of those from BMEZINE, and ultimately decided to have it done. I got my new ...

Well, this is the part where I ramble about my interest in body modification. To get to the good stuff, skip ahead a paragraph or two. I first saw the vertical labret on my best friend last year. I remember cringing at it and asking if it hurt, not believing her when she said no. Now, a year later, here I am--with a vertical labret of my own! I didn't decide to get it done until about September when I had moved out to go to college. Its kind of a delayed teenage rebellion, testing boundaries with the 'rents but ...

All my life I wanted my lip pierced. All of my friends told me I had the perfect face for it. One day I finally decided to get it done. I went in to the new shop in Norfolk VA called fuzion ink. The girl at the front counter was named Stacy. She had been in Tattoo magazines several times because of her amazing tattoos, she also told me she was assistant manager in the shop. She also told me that she had been doing this for years and I would be fine. I paid her the money and she ...

I have the greatest fiance in the world. Here's my proof: She bought me snakebites for my birthday. Happy 19th, here's some needles and shit. I mean honestly, what better present can you get than a piercing? Great time. Here's the story: On the day before my birthday - June 27th - I got off work at 4pm. We decided it'd be just as good to do it the day before as the day of, and it'd give me another day's worth of healing time, so we discussed it, and decided to go ahead and go get these bad boys ...

Not to long ago after my 20th birthday I came to the conclusion I needed something a wee bit new to my add to my apperance. I already had a nose ring i did myself, and a tongue ring from two years prior. I love my piercings but i needed something a little more edgey. My first impulse was a hot little eyebrow ring BUT since I tend to wax and pluck that area quite often I had a change of heart. I was running low on options. As much as I love all piercings, I had to choose one ...

I've never had good luck when it comes to appointments. A year ago when I first pierced the right side of my lip, I went through three piercer emergencies and cancellations before I actually managed to get the procedure done. Again this summer when I went to get my first tattoo, my best friend who I was going with came down with the flu two days before we were scheduled and it had to be put off a week or so. I'm used to the disappointment. Needless to say, when my best friend called me the day before we were ...

Disclaimer: Do NOT attempt to do this piercing yourself. You have a great chance of damaging important things in your face and/or hitting a blood vessel. Please, please, PLEASE go to a professional that will explain all of the risks and has HEALED pictures of cheek piercings in his/her portfolio. In this experience, I will not explain how to do this because I don't believe an amateur "piercer" should try this. Thank you! Well, a bit of background, I have 3 lobes piercings in each ear, an inner conch, bridge, double nostrils, 10 gauge septum, double monroes, double off-center labrets, ...

Well, it all started when I was at a very young age that I was very into piercings. Ever since I have gotten my first cartilage piercing which was when I was 7 I have wanted more and more. So one day I was on researching different piercings and I came across a labret piercing which did not look that bad. From then on I would research loads of information about a labret piercing. Then, that time came when I finally asked my mom about getting my lip pierced. When she did not answer and I was 100% sure she ...

Around the age of 15 or 16, I decided that I really wanted a lip pierced. I don't remember exactly why, but I had a lot of friends with facial piercings and was at an impressionable age... so the outcome is pretty logical. I researched facial piercings for weeks poring over BMEzine, and other websites with extensive piercing FAQs. I knew of some local piercing places that would do the job for me despite being under the age limit-- but I was 16, and had absolutely no real income. Despite my extensive amounts of internet research that all basically pointed ...
