My Medusa piercing!

I'm no stranger to the world of piercing, I've had 17 in my 21 years but my 18th was a little scary. Generally when I'm going to get pierced I'm fairly ok with it, planned the day, ready to go for a drink in the pub afterwards and just chill out. Since I was a teen I'd got this idea of how I wanted to look. I thought I'd wanted a side lip piercing with a ring, a la Tom Delonge. Then I wanted a middle labret a la Chester Bennington. Anyway, I'd decided what I wanted, It just took ... read more

An Ear for a Lip!

Piercings, when you get one or two you just want more. I got my ears pierced for the second time when I was thirteen and shortly after I got them done, I wanted my upper ear pierced. My mum called Planet Ink and told them the situation, hoping to make an appointment. They refused, telling my mum I had to be sixteen in order to that part of my ear pierced. When my mum told me this I was upset, but she promised, when I turn sixteen I may get my ear pierced for a third time. Well, my story ... read more

My monroe piercing.

After several months of harassing my parents to take me to get my monroe piercing done, I finally got it done a couple of days ago. At first I wanted a lip piercing (bottom lip, left side.) But my father refused to let me do that. He said that I "would look like a heroin addict". And even though every time the answer was the same I still pestered him, constantly. One day we were at a hockey game, and we were sitting in our seats during the period break. I turned to my dad and asked him for my ... read more

My lovely little monroe...what an easy piercing!

My first experience with a piercing was when I was 13; I had begged my mom and dad to let me get my ears pierced, so for my 13 birthday they finally caved but refused to go with me. My aunt drove me down to the local jewelry shop on main st. in our little town of Toledo,OR where they did ear piercings. Flash forward to present time. I'm 22 and now have 6 piercings total; ears, tongue, navel, nostril, and my most current my monroe :) lets not leave out a tribal black work tattoo on my lower back. ... read more

My beautiful monroe

Well I have wanted the Monroe piercing for awhile but did not know if I wanted two facial piercings. (I already have my nose pierced.) I am on my way to becoming a lawyer and I know that having piercings is not going to look professional in that field. I started doing some more research on line and looked at images and it just looked so elegant. This was something that I definitely would go for but since I had my nose I did not want to give people the wrong impression about me. Singing is also very important to ... read more

The long awaited lip

Firstly, I will say I do not approve of Do It Yourself piercing unless you REALLY know what your doing and have sterile equipment, You can really screw up your body. Being untrained and piercing yourself and others can have serious complications such as, infections of varying degrees (Minor swelling all the way up to full blown septicemia), bad placement ( being crooked, cutting off the circulation, passing through capillaries or arteries etc) massive scar tissue, and it puts you at higher risk of hypertrophic and keloid scars from excessive trauma. I practically grew up in a tattoo shop and ... read more

Monroe Troubles.

I was totally stoked to get my monroe done, I used to think it was the most gorgeous piercing of all. Which falls into one of my very many Marilyn Monroe obsessions. I was only 14 when i became interested in it, and I previously had my nose done. My mom thought it was a big deal to let other people stab at my genuine face, but the fact of metal in it didn't bother her. We drove about an hour to the nearest (legal) piercer. I grew nervous within every kilometer. By the time we stepped foot in the ... read more

The amazing adventures of my labret and I

Just to give a bit of background info, I've probably had an interest in piercings and tattoos since I was 18 or so...probably a bit of a late starter compared to most people but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing... Aside from my labret, I have standard lobe piercings (x1 left ear, x2 right), right tragus, right nostril and most recently a cartilage piercing about halfway up my left ear, as well as a couple of tattoos. Also of note, I'm a qualified doctor...having perhaps unwisely started medical school at the age of 17 (the youngest you can ... read more

Mijn eerste piercing

... read more

Retired lip ring, Eternal regrets

When I was fifteen, I thought I would be tattooed, but never pierced. It frightened the shit out of me. I mean, seeing a huge needle taking off a piece of flesh from me, it was like the last thing. I wanted to do. And I got pierced before getting tattooed. It was a stupid bet. I was friend with that girl on my second year of university. We were talking one night at a bar, and the conversation ended up on "if you ever get pierced, where it would be?" It was in 2001, she wanted it on the ... read more
