About a week ago I realized that I could pierce my lip starting from the top of my bottom lip and ending below my lip. Why is this important when I'm writing about my philtrum piercing? Well, when I realized this and found out it was an actual piercing, a vertical labret, I decided I would go to Evolved the very next Thursday to get it done. The thing is Evolved has a buy one get one special on Thursdays. At first I decided I would get the other side of my navel but changed my mind to my other ...

I already have more than a few body mods but that same old itch to get another one hit hard. I started out by looking around on Google and BME before finally deciding on the right side of my lip. I didn't have but a little bit of money at the time so I figured the best option would be one that I could manage on my own. My lip didn't seem to be something difficult or something that would require much experience. First things first, I had to get my supplies. This gave me about four or five days ...

I was sitting at home one day doing a whole lot of nothing and playing with my lip when I came to a sudden realization; it's completely possible to have a lip piercing that started where a labret would be but came out the top of the bottom lip. As soon as I realized this I fell in love with the idea. I was sure such a piercing must already exist and I wanted it. It sounded beautiful and wouldn't have the risk of harming the teeth like a normal labret. I asked a friend of mine who is an ...

Well, I've been wanting to get a labret for years now and finally did it but first I'll tell you how we found the tattoo shop we went to- My fiancé and I heard of this shop the day before Halloween was having $13 dollar piercings. We were very skeptical of this place at first. So we said what the heck we'll go and if it's a hole in the wall, we'll leave. So my fiancé's friend was waiting for a couple of hours when we got there. First impression, It was a nice and clean shop! I'm not new ...

I had wanted a medusa/philtrum piercing for a couple of months. I was hesitant at first because I really like my mouth, especially the cupid's bow, and I really didn't want it to be off-center or have it swell up like crazy. I also wanted it to be perfectly dainty. I had a very particular image of how it would look--teeny and adorable. [I know, I sound crazy, but it's a piercing in the middle of your face! It should be perfect!] I also couldn't decide between getting a medusa and a madonna, but after the consultation of several friends, ...

Well it first started when I saw some of these large labrets and I decided I wanted one so bad. I researched it for ages I finally decided to have it scalpelled so it wouldn't take long instead of stretching it and so on. I spoke to a guy I'd heard about called Quentin Inglis from Kalima. He's a really nice guy and I spoke to him at least once a week for a long time and got to know him and he got to know me. I asked loads of things then finally he said come down and see ...

About 3 years ago, I knew I had a love for piercings. At 13, I loved tattoos, 14, scarification, implants.. awesome.. At 15, now, I would love to be part of the body modification world. Looking through pictures on "Extreme Body Mods" I came across a picture of a smiley, Instantly, I was in love. I loved the idea of it being near enough hidden, unless you smile or laugh.. Your little secret piercing.. I was desperate for one. Having had 3 piercing kits before, I rathered someone with more experience than a 15 year old to do it. Begging ...

The first time I saw snakebites I was about thirteen (I think!!) and at first I thought "ewww, gross that must have been so painful!" but as I started to see more and more of them I began to think "hmmm, maybe they're not so bad, maybe they're cool" then I actually began to really like them. However I always wanted original piercings and snakebites (where I live anyway) were really common. So when I was doing more research on the internet and I came across spiderbites I instantly fell in love with them. I am only fifteen so I ...

I've been into body mods for quite some time now. When I was eight, I went with my (much) older sister to get her first tattoo, and I was hooked. After much begging and bargaining, my mother allowed me to get my first piercing when I was 15. I got an off center labret, which was not very common at the time. Over the past several years, everyone I see has a lip piercing, and I got frustrated. I hate seeing someone with the same things as me, whether it's a T-shirt or a piercing. After several tattoos and other ...

About a month ago, I was in my room researching every story, tip, warning, etc. about lip piercings that you could imagine! I was also thinking about how I have wanted one for so long and how my parents would NEVER let me get it done because I already had my nose pierced. Then I decided that I knew enough about the piercing to do it myself without it getting infected and that I was going to get my lip pierced no matter what. I didn't have a proper needle or lip piercing, just a regular nose piercing and sewing ...
