Surprisingly Fantastic

To start things off, I'm of course going to give out a warning. The way I go about my DIY piercings isn't very smart and is not recommended. The risks I take, I take fully educated on what consequences could arise from them. I do not encourage following in the way I do things. It's always best to go to a professional. Moving on... I'm a big big fan of frenulum piercings. I've previously added a story on here about a tongue web piercing and I'd like to continue the updates on my DIY oral experiences. It was yesterday afternoon ... read more

my brand new badass monroe!

So I seem to be on a piercing spree as of late. Around St. Patrick's Day, I got my nose pierced. That was big, because before then I only had my ears pirced once each, and getting my nose done was a huge step for me. It didnt really hurt, and I loved it. I felt pretty cool, and then I saw a bunch of like, 12 year old teenyboppers with it done, and I was like, wtf? So I decided I wanted to get something else pierced too (not just cuz of the kids, but I was bitten by ... read more

Didn't hurt the first time...

So, this story is about getting my lip pierced (much to my mother's dismay) but she doesn't like any modification I've ever gotten, so she just deals with it at this point and doesn't complain too much any more. I had thought about getting this piercing for a while before I actually did it but when I actually went and got it done, it was completely on a whim after work one day, much like my tongue ring, but I digress. So, whilst leaving work one day, I decided, "hey, today is the day" and headed on over to Woodfield. ... read more

Cheeky Cheeky

Ok Ive wanted cheek piercings for a while now. I think they are the most gorgeous piercing if they are on the right person. I'd researched them for hours on end on the net. I'd asked friends who'd had them what to expect. I looked on the websites of loads of piercers around my area to see how much it would cost. (even though I knew where I wanted it done) and I read up on ther peoples experiences and found only a few negatie ones but mostly positives. Finally I was ready to get them. I'm not a piercing ... read more

My first non-ear piercing!

I have always been fascinated with the body modification culture ever since I can remember, particularily piercings. I had admired those covered in their own personal expression for years. Always wishing that someday I would adorn such modifications myself. As I grew older my love for body modification grew, and before I knew it, I had devoted all my free time and effort into informing myself of various different modifications. I think it's safe to say that I LIVE for this. By the age of 10, I had already gotten many ear piercings, but due to strict religious parents, no ... read more

Mijn lippiercing

I had to put metal in my face before I liked it

I spent a very long time hating the way that I looked. I was your typical teen girl with ridiculously low self esteem. I led a very self destructive lifestyle and treated my body like a peace of trash. That all changed with my first piercing. I moved out of my parents home when I was 18 with my boyfriend, Tim, now my husband. I had always wanted my lip pierced and mentioned it Tim to see what he thought. "I want you to do whatever makes you happy, " was the response I got. I played around with the ... read more

Button your lip

It's been a very, very long time since I've had a new piercing – in fact, recently I've taken a lot of them out and downsized my half-inch earlobes to 5mm, because I was kind of bored with the whole piercing thing. (I know, shoot me now!) My first body modification love has always been ink, with piercings as a secondary decorative attraction rather than the Big Deal for me. But, despite this, there are still some piercings that I need to have to feel complete – the ones I've kept (my tragi, rooks, tongue, hood and vertical labret) are ... read more

Botched Vertical-Labret Repierce

When I was 16 I decided to get my vertical labret pierced after much research on BME. The piercer who did it also previously pierced my: septum, monroe, and lip, as well as my boyfriend's: center lip, snakebites, and septum. He used (special-order) internally threaded jewelery and made me feel at ease especially as he explained EVERYTHING step-by-step. The piercing wasn't too bad, he pierced slowly with a 16-gauge needle (as he guided the needle) from bottom to top and there was a slight burn as the needle exited through my lip. The jewelery transfer was easy and I was ... read more

Vertical Labret Issues

So for as long as I have remembered I've always been attracted to surface piercings. My first initial goal was to get my eyebrow pierced, which I did, at the age of 16. Eyebrow piercings are one of the highest rejecting facial piercings and that is exactly what happened with mine. After trying to pierce it again at the age of 17 and it still rejecting I decided to move on with a different body mod. After turning 18 this past March I was hell bent on getting my vertical labret done. A vertical labret is a piercing that is ... read more
