Smooth Dhalia's

Dahlia Piercings Beforehand: I've been doing a lot of research on this piercing, and not much came out of it. So I decided to take the time to review my experience as time goes by, and so contribuate to educate people on body modifications, as the more we know the better! I am not a licensed piercer, so please only take my experience as one more review to help you choose and gather more informations on this delicate piercing!   At the piercing studio: So as usual, I went to who I consider the safest and moat talented piercer in ... read more

The vertical lip/labret that was not to be.

This is my first experience with piercing that I did not absolutely love after it was done. So with that being the case understand it is now removed but seeing how there are not many new stories of this piercing I figured I would share. So I first saw the vertical labret about six months ago, but being that I am older then most I've seen with this piercing and that I have only had one facial piercing previously the decision was a major one for me. I was entranced by how the piercing looked, I love how it made ... read more

The Cyber Bites

I turned 17 on the 9th. So, of course, I got a piercing to celebrate the joyous occasion. About two weeks before then, I inquired to my mother if I could get a labret. She, as usual, looked at me horrified and inquired the age old question of "Why?" to which I replied that it would bring me happiness. After some badgering, she finally gave in. But I was still not satisfied. I know, I know, i should be! After all, I get a brand new, shiny piercing, glinting perfectly in the sun. However, I was not. I asked for ... read more

smiley, frowny and tongue web piercing

The first time I saw a smiley piercing was on a girl at the pub I had just started working at. My initial reaction was to wonder who on earth would want one of those? The more I thought about it though, the more I realised just how beautiful it was, and so personal too! No one need know it was there if you don't want them too. So I headed on over to bme and looked at some of the uploaded photos. I gradually realised that this would be my next piercing. After reading up on the risks though, ... read more

The Rise and Demise of my Large Gauge Labret

The saga began back in January 2009, when I became the instant proud owner of a 2.4mm labret piercing. My intention had always been to go much larger, having styled myself as one of those “go big or go home” modification enthusiasts. I booked my piercing slot and ordered in my own jewellery, as my piercer didn’t routinely offer piercings at larger gauges. The healing was uneventful, apart from some swelling caused by an impromptu drinking session two weeks later. It’s true what they say, oral piercings and alcohol don’t mix! As time progressed, I began stretching the piercing. I ... read more

A Tale of a Monroe

Hey there! My name's Latiesha and I'm 20 years old, and this is the story of how I got my monroe. It all started on a beautiful August day. I had booked an appointment to get my third tattoo (but that's another story) and got my close friend David to accompany me. While I was getting my tattoo done, he was going to get his tongue pierced. I was slightly jealous as I had the piercing bug flairing and up at the time. While we waited around for my appointment, we bummed around the strip mall across the street, took ... read more

A.S.K Studio - Worst piercing experience.

I went to A LOT of piercing studios trying to find somewhere that pierced cheeks with plastic bars. I didn't want metal constantly on my teeth...I came across A.S.K in Camden town, Pricey £40 a cheek but they were all very friendly & the studio - Although it felt a bit cramped was clean. I wanted longer bars because my body tends to swell up a lot with whatever piercing I have. They assured me they would give me the longest bars they had. The piercer himself (forgotten his name) was a guy with a bushy ginger beard. He was ... read more

First Piercing-Cheeks

So, I just recently over the last year or so discovered this big wide world of body modification, since the mainstream teaches us that brushing your hair, wearing clothes, etc. is 'normal' and not modifying. I have always enjoyed looking at others tattoos and trying to figure out what the image is of (my dad has a few tattoos that I loved to see) and how some piercings worked with one's anatomy and allowed them to still function normally (in society and biologically). Anyways, when my 18th birthday rolled around I figured I had enough freedom to get a piercing ... read more

My 2g Lip Piercing

Back in the summer of 2009 my friend and I went on vacation to Virginia Beach and while we were there we found some fake lip rings. Ever since then I have wanted to get my lip pierced, snakebites to be more specific. We wore the fake lip rings to school to try and fool people but of course it didn't work so I went home and asked my parents if I could get my lip pierced for real and they said no. So what do I do? I go to my friend who is training to become a professional ... read more

Lip Times Two

In August 2007, I got my first "real" piercing- a lip ring on the right side of my bottom lip. My friend and I finally got them done a week before our final year of school started after a 5 year wait, and we were nervous but we made our way to Outer Limits eventually on a Thursday with her mum and I had my first lip piercing done with basically no pain in a sterile place with a really friendly piercer. I honestly couldn't have asked for better. I was also given an aftercare sheet. Two more things I ... read more
