The Piercing I Longed To Get

Around 4 months ago I wanted my eyebrow pierced, but the typical parenting role, my parents said no. I pleaded and pleaded that I wanted it done but still they said no. I was on BMEzine 24/7 researching about eyebrow piercings.. looking at how much they hurt and how bad for you they are. Even at school I was researching. No matter how bad some people made it out to be I still wanted it done. My boyfriend went up to someone that had their eyebrow pierced and asked whether it hurt. The Man said no but it does hurt ... read more

My favorite piercing almost didn't happen

Ever since I was young I've loved piercings. By the time I was 11 I had 3 holes in each earlobe and 2 cartilage piercings. When I was 14 I got my belly button pierced, the moment I stood up after, I knew I would be getting more piercings. When I was 16 I got my eyebrow pierced and when I was 18 I got my tongue. My eyebrow is by far my favorite, it was the least painful and I get tons of compliments on it. When I was 16 I actually wanted my labret pierced but my mom ... read more

My Anti-Eyebrow Broke My Heart

Last spring I became dead-determined on getting something pierced. I'm not sure that it was peer pressure or rebellion that spurred it so much as proving to myself that I could do it. I'd never gotten a piercing in my life but I was convinced that I loved the feel of needles against my skin--I actually got a rush off donating blood & plasma. It was 2 weeks prior to D-Day (the day I'd decided I was going to get something pierced, no matter what) and I hadn't decided on a location. My best friend at college (a surface piercing ... read more

And It Actually Happened.

So I wanted an eyebrow piercing for more than three years. But my parents are rather conservative as far as piercings and tattoos go, I think only partly to do with our Jewish heritage – but that didn't help. Anyway, note here: the fact that I ended up convincing my parents (dad was to be insurmountably more difficult then mom, who actually thought it might look 'cool')(she's an artist) is a miracle in itself (no I'm not religious, just a choice of words) and I guess some of the arguments I put forward really worked. Guess it helped I was ... read more

Eyebrow Piercing

I got my eyebrow piercing done a few years ago at my brothers friends shop "No Regrets" in Long Beach, CA. The was the first piercing that I have ever gotten, so naturally I was extremely nervous. I've wanted to get it done for a long time, a few years. My oldest brother used to have it and I always thought that it was really cool and that I'd like one. After lots of research online and really thinking about if I wanted it or not, I convinced my mother to let me get it. She took me down, after ... read more

The Bridge Between Normal and Pierced.

Every since I seen one of my boyfriend's friends, Zack, have a bridge piercing I feel in love. I knew that someday I wanted one, but every time I had the opportunity to get it done, I delayed it. The main reason I delayed getting it is because Zack is the only person I have seen around here with it and I did not feel comfortable stealing his idea and getting one done to. I know it is a silly thing, but I did not want to copy him. I was the first one out of all my friends to ... read more

"That was it?" My bridge

My friend and I were sitting at the local Promenade Mall when the idea struck us that May 26th would be the perfect day to go get metal shoved in our faces. (No time like the present!) My friend, who had already gotten her tongue and lip pierced [the latter by a piercer at Brookside] said she knew of a great, clean place and so- off we went. I immediately thought I had to get my bridge done, seeing as how I've wanted one for over four years- but on the spur of the moment hundreds of ideas flood your ... read more

My first facial piercing.

Ever since I was in middle school, I have always wanted my eyebrow pierced. I was always too young so there was no luck of me getting it then. And my parents did not like the idea of me getting a needle stuck through my face. At sixteen I asked my mom if there was anyway that I could get my eyebrow pierced. She said no, so I left it alone. The next year around my birthday, I asked my mom if I could get it pierced. She gave me a 'we will see' and I knew that I had ... read more

First DIY Piercing

Yesterday, I finally got all my jewelry I ordered. I was excited and opened it in front of my boyfriend and his friend, Jake. I ordered a lot of eyebrow rings and some other stuff, it was cheaper to buy in bulk. Jake wanted to see my jewelry and I showed it to him, he picked out an eyebrow ring and asked me if he could have it. I was a little confused at first, because he does not have his eyebrow pierced. Confused, I told him he could have it. About an hour after I gave him the jewelry, ... read more

Second Eyebrow Piercing Goes Better Than The First!!!

I got my first eyebrow piercing done on a whim about 5 weeks ago. I was finally able to change it a few days ago and realized it was finally healed. I have been thinking about getting another piercing right next to it, but it was not until I went to the tattoo shop to get my helix on my ear to make my industrial done that I decided it was finally time to do it. I had a long waiting before I was actually able to get the piercing done, the shop opened 2 hours late, then the only ... read more
