Getting My Eyebrow Done

I have always been fascinated by piercings, ever since I was little I was in to body modification, the art of it, the feeling it gives you, ect... I don't know why I am so fascinated by piercings. It's just something I love. Almost as much as I love my music. One reason is because you have to go through something to get it. You can't just go buy a piercing and you have it. You have to endure physical pain in order to achieve your goal. And then the feeling after you get it done. It's awesome. You feel ... read more

Be aware of everything around you before you go for it...

So it was my senior year of highschool, and I turned 18 right before Christmas break. I went to a strict catholic school, which frowned upon piercings, yet I always wanted my eyebrow done. I was talking about it since 6th grade. There was just something about it, I had just always liked the look of eyebrow piercings... Anyway, I had looked briefly at a local tattoo/piercing place in Providence, when a friend took her boyfriend to get his lip pierced a year before. I had remembered how clean and welcoming Red's was. I decided to go there. It was ... read more

An Eyebrow Piercing in Suburbia

For some reason, unknown to anyone--even myself really, I'd been fixated on an eyebrow piercing since I was in junior high. Every once in awhile, I'd casually bring it up in conversation with my parents, but they always just thought I was kidding or trying to make them nervous. Years came and went until I would finally be able to go have it done myself, since obviously my parents weren't exactly jumping at the chance to let me punch holes in my body. Shortly after I graduated high school (literally just days), I finally worked up the courage to do ... read more

"Will it hurt...?"

Even though I've wanted my bridge for longer than I've wanted any other piercing, it was the last one I've gotten, following snakebites, a Monroe, two basic lip piercings, a nostril, a septum, ears to 5/8", and a punched and tapered vertical Madison. I guess the main reason I didn't get it yet was because 2 years back I started dating a guy who hated bridge piercings. For Christmas, he offered to pay for me to get a piercing; what we had been planning on was to get my septum redone. I'd had my septum done before, and the experience ... read more

New Bridge!

Well, it's exam season here, and I hate the damn things, so i tend to procrastinate as much as possible instead of doing the sensible thing and studying, so that is what I did yesterday when I went and got my bridge pierced. Now, the problem is that I'm a habitual sort, and so the cast majority of my holes were created by the same person, except he's no longer piercing (long story, but he's fed up of it, and quit about 6 months ago), so it's more awkward to get poked by someone I know and respect. I decided ... read more

My first piercing, other than the ears

When I was 14, I wanted to get something pierced, other than my ears, but my mom didn't want me to get anything done. Finally after much talking and arguing, she agreed to let me get my eyebrow pierced. I was quite excited about it and couldn't wait to go and get it. We went out and drove around looking for a piercing place and found one in NY. We went in to check it out, but when they asked me my age, I was sad to find out you had to be 16. I was going to visit my ... read more

My 1st Eyebrow Piercing (FAILED)

I've always wanted a facial piercing. I had already had two piercings in each ear, but I wanted something a little more unusual, something a little more noticeable. I had asked my mother on my 16th birthday if I could get a labret piercing in my lip. My mother had told me she'd never agree to letting me get anything pierced. But who listens to mothers? Besides, I was 18 at the time, and thus free to do whatever I pleased. I had seen Big Daddy Cadillac's quite a lot since I had moved to Lawrence to attend college, so ... read more

I love my face.

Piercing #31. I had lusted after it since before I had any body piercings. The fear of my parents, and the fear of migration had stopped me up until yesterday, November 27th. The night before, I had been talking to a friend about piercings, and how I was to be going on a piercing adventure with friends the next day. I wanted my nostril done for a third time with a ring, so I would have two studs and one ring. I also wanted something else, but didn't know what yet. Josh suggested an anti eyebrow and said it would ... read more

First facial piercing.

I had only my lobes pierced and they were only 20 gauge which I got when I was five. I bawled all the car way home from getting those pierced. And I was terrified of getting shots or anything else that required needles. I was a preppy, blonde, blue eyed, seventh grader, who was usually scared/intimidated by people with any body modifications. But I, myself, wanted to get my eyebrow pierced. I remember being terrified to ask my mother but I could not stop thinking about getting my eyebrow pierced. So one morning, I was yelling for her to come ... read more
