Well let me start by saying I am a HUGE baby when it comes to pain. With that said, here's my story. I have been wanting to get my nose pierced for a long time.About 8 months ago,I started to do my research on it. All the risks, the problems, the healing and cleaning process. I even watched videos of other people getting it done so that I would know what to expect! My boyfriend, coworkers, and family did not approve. But I talked to my boss and he told me that I wouldn't lose my job over it. So I didn't care. I was ...

Let me introduce myself, in a kind of anonymous way! I'm sixteen, I live in the UK and before this nose piercing, my only experience with body modifications was my gunned lobes... and watching my mother get her ankle get tattooed on a rather drunken night in Ayia Napa, but that's another story! I don't know why I suddenly wanted my nostril pierced, because, as I've said, I'd never had any interest in piercings before. In fact, when my (younger) sister had another set of lobe piercings, I felt sick! So, I was a shocked as anyone when I found ...

I have been considering/becoming increasingly obsessed with the idea of getting a nose ring of some sort for the past couple months. I was torn between getting a nostril ring or a septum ring and, ultimately, I went with the latter, after looking at tons of pictures of girls with septum rings, watching YouTube videos of the process, and reading about experiences on BME. I figured a septum ring would better suit my nose, which isn't giant, but isn't small by any means. For this piercing, I decided to go to a fairly new, increasingly reputable nearby shop that opened ...

My Septum Ok this is the story of my very first professional piercing, and although I have before the age of 18 had roughly 45 (not saying by any means that this is a lot seeing as I know its not but for my area it is) a good deal of them re-pierces. I was looking to get a new piercing and I went around asking my friends what I should get because I was running out of new places with out going down stairs, and I refuse to get my tongue, I've already had a 2g through my cheek ...

So I've been wanting to get my nose pierced for quite some time now because I think it just looks cute. I'd already gotten an eyebrow piercing years ago and I couldn't see paying for a nose piercing when I could just as easily do it myself at home. I've attempted other facial piercings on my own and the only reason I didn't keep them was because I did not have the correct jewelry at the time. So, it was evening after I'd gotten home from work I had made up my mind that I would just do it then. ...

Hello, let me tell you about my first real piercing experience! For over two years, I have wanted a septum piercing. However, I was too much of a chicken to actually get the piercing done - until now. Doing research about good quality piercers in the area, I found a piercing studio with a very good reputation. The web site looked nice and displayed pictures of a neat looking place. I did some more research to be sure this would be the place I would get my first piercing done (not counting 2x lobe piercings done at a hairdresser at ...

I've always been into piercing, and have always had a list in my head of the piercings I want in my lifetime. My nipples were first, and I was fine with them being my only piercing. There were things I really wanted, and things I would consider if I was bored or ran out of other stuff to pierce. A septum piercing was never, ever on that list, until recently. I can't explain all the reasons we decide to get pierced. There are some things that serve a purpose like tongue piercings and genital piercings. But, a lot if it ...

As most of us fans of body mods know, the work environment is not particularly conducive to piercings. I know where I work at (a restaurant) employees aren't allowed to have any visible piercings besides ears (as long as they're not gauged) and maybe a nostril stud on a girl. As a result I never really gave a lot of thought to facial piercings. I wanted one, maybe in my lip, but I knew I couldn't get away with anything visible. One day, however, a few of us who had just clocked out were sitting around talking at a table ...

I had always wanted to get some sort of piercing (navel, nose or helix) but I am extremely scared of needles. I admired that my sister had gotten her tongue and her navel pierced and my mom had gotten a helix piercing and her navel done with my sister. Since I was twelve I thought about piercings a lot. Two years later my mom and I were at a clothing store and while I was in the change room I just asked 'Mom, can I get my nose pierced?' I was thinking about it, and how easy it would be ...

My life so far, in 18 short years, has consisted of three main dreams and goals: Becoming a professional musician, traveling the world, and becoming modified. The first step in that set of dreams was acquiring the 12 ear piercings I had desired from a very young age. Next, getting accepted into a highly-respected music school. Then, my treble clef tattoo. Now, in perhaps the most drastic measure of all, I uprooted my life for two months to travel around the other side of the Atlantic spending two months going around the United Kingdom and Ireland - seeing what ...
