Bumps no more for my nostril piercing!

I planned to get my nostril pierced for my eighteenth birthday but surprisingly, my mom took me in to get it done a week early. I debated whether or not I wanted a ring, but decided to go for a simple stud after examining my nose in the mirror and deciding it'd look better. My experience was rather simple and anti-climactic, not much to describe. We walked in, no appointment, and told them I'd like my nostril pierced. We signed the papers, paid, and he took me into a back room. But ugh, every time I go to get something ... read more

Speeding Ticket Piercing

When I was 8 I got my first set of piercings on my ears. I got the first one done and cried for nearly an hour about the pain before letting the lady do the piercing on the other side. I got it done with the gun and unfortunately I believe the sound was what scared me more than any amount of pain I may have felt. I decided I hated piercings and would never get any more. For almost four years after that I had an extreme fear of piercings from the memory of that day. I decided that ... read more

A Very Easy Piercing For a Very Scared Girl!

I have wanted my nose pierced for the last few years, since a friend of mine got hers done. I've always thought that nose rings looked nice, not too big and really cute! I'm in a profession that tends to frown on visible body modifications so that deterred me a little, however, after actually looking at the staff I realized that quite a few of them have their noses pierced so I didn't think it would be much of a problem for me, I just needed the guts to do it. To give you an idea of how much the ... read more

Septum gone wrong.

I had wanted a septum piercing for quite a while and finally in February I decided to go for it. So I went to Needlewurks where I've gotten all of my piercings with a friend of mine. When we get in there aren't too many people waiting and I get in within like five minutes. The piercer isn't one I had ever seen before but he told me he was Paul's (the owner) first apprentice so I felt pretty comfortable. When we get in the room he asks if I had any questions and I said only one, my friend ... read more

A small taste , and I want more .

My parents were never into the idea of their first born daughter being interested in tattoos, piercings, and body modifications.I had always asked for something outrageous, such as a septum or lip, or the nape of my neck. They were always immediately against the idea, but after doing a little bit of thinking, and sucking up I had finally asked them to get my nose pierced. Alas, it was a rare opportunity when they gave me a "maybe" when I asked them about getting my nostril pierced. I had wanted something pierced ever since I could remember, and I figured ... read more

Seizure Right After Nose Piercing

Just to start this off, I would like to say that I am not scared of needles at all, And I don't ever faint or feel sick when seeing needles or blood. I only had each of my earlobes pierced, and I wanted to get my right nostril pierced. My mom took me and three friends to the studio today to get it done, and with the stud and cleaning supplies it cost $110 (the stud was pretty expensive because it was high quality). The guy took me into the back room and I sat on the gurney thing (a ... read more

ouch...but oooh so pretty!

Well let me start by saying I am a HUGE baby when it comes to pain. With that said, here's my story. I have been wanting to get my nose pierced for a long time.About 8 months ago,I started to do my research on it. All the risks, the problems, the healing and cleaning process. I even watched videos of other people getting it done so that I would know what to expect! My boyfriend, coworkers, and family did not approve. But I talked to my boss and he told me that I wouldn't lose my job over it. So I didn't care. I was ... read more

Not too eventful nostril!

Let me introduce myself, in a kind of anonymous way! I'm sixteen, I live in the UK and before this nose piercing, my only experience with body modifications was my gunned lobes... and watching my mother get her ankle get tattooed on a rather drunken night in Ayia Napa, but that's another story! I don't know why I suddenly wanted my nostril pierced, because, as I've said, I'd never had any interest in piercings before. In fact, when my (younger) sister had another set of lobe piercings, I felt sick! So, I was a shocked as anyone when I found ... read more

An International Piercing Effort - Making My Dreams Come True

My life so far, in 18 short years, has consisted of three main dreams and goals: Becoming a professional musician, traveling the world, and becoming modified. The first step in that set of dreams was acquiring the 12 ear piercings I had desired from a very young age. Next, getting accepted into a highly-respected music school. Then, my treble clef tattoo. Now, in perhaps the most drastic measure of all, I uprooted my life for two months to travel around the other side of the Atlantic – spending two months going around the United Kingdom and Ireland - seeing what ... read more

A lovely nose.

For as long as I could remember I had always liked the look of nose piercings. I loved the way the little gems sparkled on the noses of the indian girls in my class, and I always thought they looked so beautiful. When I turned 17 and the desire for a hole in my nose had grown almost unbearable, I took the plunge and booked an appointment to have my nose pierced at a local spa. Several of my friends had gone there and so I thought it must be a reputable enough location. When my parents found out they ... read more
