I have wanted my nose pierced for a really long time but my mom and dad wouldn't let me until I was 18. I think they just thought I would eventually grow out of that "phase" and not want it anymore. I have wanted my nose pierced since I was 9 years old, and my parents have always said that I could have it done when I was 16. I had a few non major piercings before hand, an industrial which got infected and was taken out 3months later, normal ear lobe piercings, stretched to 6mm and 8mm (now taken out) and a cartilage piercing on my left ear, which got pulled out on a rollercoaster (it hurt). I decided to do my septum on the spur of the moment when a friend offered to. I'd realized how pretty they looked after seeing it on another friend, and the idea of being able to flip it up really appealed to me. I also liked it because it was a bit more unusual. My nose is also quite straight and small, so I thought it would be nice on me. I have a confession to make: nostril piercings and myself? Probably not the best combination.
