For quite some time I had wanted to get another facial piercing, but still be able to get a decent job that wouldn't require me to take it out. Then it occurred to me... SEPTUM! So simple! Hide it while at work or with the old people (parents). So I decided to have Kala do it seeing as there isn't a single other place on this damn island that doesn't either overcharge or have no clue what they are doing. I was so nervous when I was going to get it done that I invited my friend Tara to come ...

Basically, I'm a piercing junkie. So far I've had my lip pierced, a nostril piercing, a tri-navel piercing, 10 in my ears [including tragus, rook, a 10mm tunnel and an industrial], and the most recent, my lovely septum piercing. So yes, as you can see in my short life I've had quite a lot of work done... But I'd never even thought about getting my septum pierced until a few months ago. I'd always thought of it as a bit extreme and well, not exactly a pretty piercing. All that changed about 5 months ago when I saw a picture ...

So after about seven months of trying to convince my mom to give me her consent so I can have my septum pierced, professionally, I finally gave up and decided to do it myself, like all of my piercings. Now, for all the anti-DIY people reading this, don't start freaking out on me about how idiotic and unsafe this is. The moment I listed septum piercing in my wish list, I began researching about procedures, (finding really scarce amount), experiences--both written and recorded, health risks, and a bunch of other stuffs. I did my research repeatedly, for about two months. ...

Out of all of my previous piercings (2 daiths, 1 anti tragus, 1 tagus, 1 cartilage, 5 dermal anchors and a surface sternum) none have been on my face! Somewhere in my subconscious I had decided that facial piercings and I were just never meant to be, though I always found them unbelievably attractive. Apart from that I am also a Flute performance major so any piercings on, or in my mouth I cannot have and seeing as I don't particularly like eyebrow piercings I thought for sure I would NEVER get any beautiful metal in my face. Wrong. While ...

My first nose piercing didn't go so well. I am prone to keloids and of course, that's exactly what happened and I got so frustrated that I just took it out. I did everything I thought I could do and it felt as if it was never going to go away!! I felt as if getting piercings was a lost cause for me because I lost a beloved industrial to keloids as well and I almost gave up hope. But about a month ago, I got the urge for a piercing. piercings are so addictive! I loved the way the ...

I'd been wanting my nose pierced for about two years. I think the reason I first wanted it was while going through an emo phase at twelve, I had a clip-on nose/lip/belly/ear ring and put it in my left nostril. I loved it from the start and that was when I was bitten by the bug. I'd only had my ears pierced once before when I was six, and I couldn't remember what that was like, but I know it hurt. Alot. Stupidly, as I was only little, I didn't know the dangers of gun piercing, and they got badly ...

Until recently, I had never really considered the idea of getting a septum piercing. I had always found nose piercings in general to be a little cliché. The whole party girl with a nose stud look never really appealed to me. However, over the past few months, I had been itching for a new piercing. I already have my lip, bellybutton, tragus, and a number of other ear piercings, and I felt that I needed something a little different. It was because of this searching for something new that first brought the idea of a septum piercing to mind. Over ...

I've wanted my nose pierced for a couple of months. Unfortunately, all my friends from school want it done too, and due to it being against the school rules to have a facial piercing, they are all planning to get it done at schoolies when we graduate at the end of the year. So I decided to get it done now to avoid looking like I was following the crowd. My parents haven't always been keen on the idea, but I had gotten my lip pierced in January this year and last month, July, I took it out because I ...

Alright so last night I asked my mom if I could get my nose pierced and she said no because she doesn't like them. Then we got talking (on IM, I was in my room, she was in the kitchen on her laptop) and I was like okay if I can't get my nose pierced I want my second holes done in my ears. She's like well if you want to do that you can just do that at home. And I was like, okay well why don't I just pierce my nose while I'm at it. She didn't necessarily ...

I have wanted my nose pierced for a really long time but my mom and dad wouldn't let me until I was 18. I think they just thought I would eventually grow out of that "phase" and not want it anymore. Well it was not a "phase" and I did not grow out of it. I am a freshman in college and didn't want to get my nose pierced while I was at school. I also wanted to go somewhere closer to home. So about 2 weeks after my 18th birthday, I came home for the weekend. I had researched ...
