Yet again I found myself getting a piercing I never dreamed I would get. Almost always when I had seen a septum piercing it was on someone with large jewelry and frankly didn’t look appealing to me at all. Over time I started seeing discreet septum piercings with retainers and other small jewelry. Suddenly septum piercings didn’t look so bad. My story begins when I was out of town for a few weeks on business. I found myself walking around a city in Australia with a few hours to spare. There were many things I could have done but I ...

My septum piercing came as a bit of a surprise, even for myself. It just acts as further proof of how one changes in the course of a few years. Basically, my piercer and friend John Wayne had suggested that I look into getting my septum done shortly after I met him, and I had found the idea rather uninspiring. At that stage I was focusing on my ear projects and was not interested in getting any other piercings at all. However, three years later the same friend announced he and his fiancé; were moving far away, and this was ...

I've always been wary about septum piercings, right from when I was about sixteen and read somewhere that it was incredibly painful. I had both nostrils pierced in my teens and they were both so bad, I assumed that the septum would be off the scale in terms of pain! To be honest, this has left me with a bit of a fascination for other people's septum piercings. I frequently embarrass myself every time I meet anybody with one, going, 'Oo did it hurt?' Fast forward a few years, and I was feeling braver. It's coming up to the ...

Well! I've just got back from a jaunt into town to get my septum pierced. As I'm sure a lot of you have done, I woke up this morning thinking that today, I fancy something new. I've been thinking about getting my conch done, but as my scaffold is only a year old and still gets angry sometimes, I think Ill wait to get that done once I have at least one side to sleep on! I hadn't had anything pierced for two years - I've got various already including tongue, navel, bites, vertical nipples, scaffold, 22mm lobes - and ...

The first piercings I ever got were, you guessed it, my lobes. I was sixteen when I got my earlobes pierced. I know, that's older than most people when they get their lobes done. My mom made me wait, but I'm happy she did. I remember being so excited to finally experience that thrill of getting jewelry stabbed through my flesh! No lie! I couldn't wait to get my ears pierced. Seems kinda lame now, because everyone gets their lobes done, but I already knew that those ear piercings were gonna be my ticket into a whole new world of ...

Today is the 24th of June and my 17th birthday. Today, I got a pain in the nose and became a pain in the ass. I'm not a noobie when it comes to piercings but I'm not a veteran either, so you can imagine my excitement/fright that I had when I declared to my friends that I wanted a septum piercing. I've had an interest for a long time mind you but it was more a thought of "How could you...WOULDN'T THAT HURT?!" and I figured that it looked kind of badass too. So this week came and I was ...

I've been into body modification seriously for the last 6 years or so. But most people wouldn't guess that by just looking at me, given that up until recently, I had only the standard lobe piercings. Lack of funds and being on a seemingly endless job-hunt have been the biggest roadblocks on my path to modded bliss. Getting my septum pierced was already something I had planned on, but I only recently decided to go through with it. It seemed like the most viable option for my current situation, since I need something I could hide when going to turn ...

I've wanted a facial piercing for over 3 years now, not knowing which one i wanted to get. Initially i wanted snakebites, then my nostril, then back to snakebites. Until eventually i decided i wanted my septum pierced. I thought "Hey, it's simple, practical, and all around awesome." I've researched the piercing for months. How it was done, the tools used, how to know if your piercer is qualified. I watched many videos of it being done. In almost all the videos, the piercer used clamps. But i also found out that an alternative to the painful clamps were receiving ...

This septum piercing wasn't exactly planned. I woke up that day, knowing I wanted a piercing. I decided on a tongue web. I drove down to TRX, told Stan that what I wanted and he smiled and asked, "Who's gonna do it for you?" to which I replied, "You?" No, Stan does not do tongue webs... Sad Face. My usual piercer and the only piercer I had let come near me with a needle, Courtney, until that day was in Las Vegas for the APP Conference. So, I sat there, cycling through which piercing I was going to get instead. ...

Well, I have been a huge fan of septum piercings for a few years now, but had read quite a few horror stories on them and how much they 'kill'. I think I finally decided to just go for it after I had both my nipples pierced, as that wasn't as bad as I previously had thought it would be. Each time before I get any piercing done, I spend a while (at least a week) decided if it’s what I really want and the types of jewellry available for the certain piercing. I look in the galleries here on ...
