My Tongue Piercing!

I have been wanting to get my tongue pierced for a really long time. I have been 18 for awhile, so when my cousin asked me to go with her to get her belly button done 4 days ago, I told her I would come with her. And I decided to get my tongue done then. We went to this place called Electric Sting. Most of my friends go there to get their piercings and tattoos. First, let me tell you I have some piercings so I am used to the pain and aftercare involved. I have double pierced ears ... read more

My Tongue Piercing Experience

Last Saturday (Oct. 24/10) I decided to get my tongue pierced. After years of wanting it done, and making an appointment on my birthday (which was Aug. 23), but chickening out; I finally decided to just go and get it. The week before the "big day" I was bragging to my boyfriend, 'Yeah I have a huge surprise for you this weekend when we see each other!' He had no idea. I wanted to put it together as a surprise package, so I bleached my purple hair and went blonde. I also bought a whole new outfit. So on Saturday, ... read more

My tongue piercing at the age of 14

When I was a little girl my mom would take me to the mall to get my hair cut and whenever we went there we had to pass one of 'those' stores; the ones with rainbow colored hair dye, obscene shirts, and body jewelry. I remember one time we were walking past and I saw, what at the time I thought was, the oddest thing. There was a poster and on that poster was a scary girl sticking out her tongue....on her tongue was a big silver ball. I was horrified; why would anyone want to do that to themselves? ... read more

getting into piercing at 35

OK so this is the story of how I got my tongue pierced at 35. I've always lived a very main stream conventional life, thinking that the only reason I was on this planet was to do what I was supposed to do and make everyone around me happy even if that meant that very early on I had to give up having my own personality or just being myself. I guess I was raised to be that way, or maybe I have an overly developed sense of responsibility that made me become that way. It took me many years ... read more

My poor mangled tongue (botched piercing through frenulum)

I had one of the worst experiences of my life getting my tongue pierced at a supposedly decent shop in the DC area. Not just one of my worst experiences with piercings, but one of the worst experiences of my life, full stop. I normally go to several excellent piercers Cambridge, MA. I'm no stranger to piercings - I currently have a nostril, industrial, both nipples, two inner labia, and a VCH, but I was in DC and due to work schedules, had to get my tongue there if I was going to get it done. We (my partner and ... read more

My Shiny Piece Of Metal

I’ve been interested in unusual piercings ever since I was 13 years old. I’m now 22 years old. I sometimes went onto youtube and watched videos of people having their tongue pierced or simply showing off their body mods. I used to wonder what I would look like with a shiny piece of metal sticking out of my tongue. I had my nose piercing around a year ago and before long I wanted something else that was unique to me. That’s when I decided to get my tongue done. I used to go to a place called Skins & Needles ... read more

Piercing #7: My tongue!

I got my tongue pierced 2 weeks and 2 days ago. This is a weird story, at least for me. With most of my piercings, I decided I wanted to get them and then I made myself think about it for much longer than I probably needed to. After all of that, if I still wanted it, I went out and got it. I don't know why I made myself wait so long, as I never decided to NOT get said piercing. My tongue, however, is entirely different. It was a piercing I always found cool. On other people. The ... read more

Tongue Piercing

I had my tongue pierced about 5 weeks ago and I absolutely love it! I've had a few piercings before (lobes x2, cartilage on ear and nose twice as I put some dodgy jewellery in it the first time round and had to let it close up) but my tongue was going to my my next big one. I'd wanted it done since I was about 16 - I am now 18 - but my parents hated it and had said no. A few people I knew from college had it done though, as did my boyfriend, and I was ... read more

DIY lip frenum and sublingual

So I’m a nurse. I also love piercings. These two facets of my personality don’t always see eye to eye. I love getting interesting new piercings but I’m running out of creative spots to hide them for work. I’d heard of web piercings before and figured they’d be easily hidden. I already had a center tongue piercing that I had stretched to a 6 gauge. I have a small mouth so I wasn’t sure how much room I had under my tongue for a sublingual. So I decided on an upper lip frenum piercing (otherwise known as a smiley). Again ... read more

#16, Tongue Piercing

After being a BME reader for more than a year and having worked my courage enough for more than a few piercings in the past year by way of stories I've found on here, I decided it was time for me to get my own BME account and finally contribute. Seeing as how it's freshest in my mind, I'll start with my most recent piercing, my 12ga tongue piercing. I got it done a week ago at Dragon FX in Kingsway Mall, by Lexci Million. She's been my go-to piercer for the past year, ever since she did my two ... read more
