Allow me to start by saying that I do strongly believe that you should see professionals for any type of body modification. DIY piercings can be done, and properly, but there a far greater number of risks. I consider myself very fortunate to have been without complication, but I wouldn’t pierce anything other than my ears by myself. Well, I had quit my job, and have no funds for, well, anything. I was seriously considering going to World Domination, which is the closest, cheapest place to go (they have a pretty bad rep, but its more for creepiness than uncleanliness; ...

Location: Wellington N., Sherbrooke, Quebec Artist: Charlie Date: April 23, 2010 I had been toying with the idea of piercing my left conch for nearly two years. I has an unexpected afternoon off from work at the theatre (I'm a technician at my university) and planned a trip to the mall to get some new shoes. I had a nice leisurely lunch at home. I lost track of time at one point and I realized that I was going to miss the next bus if I didn't hurry out the door. I ran to the bus stop to see the ...

So I'll start off saying that I've been really interested in body modification, especially piercings, though I only had 5 myself (4 on my lobes, one on my cartilage, all gunned, bad I know). Because my parents are pretty old fashion when it comes to piercings, just the standard earlobes. One day, I casually brought up a tragus piercing to my mum, and to my surprise, she immediately said yes! I asked my dad, who was skeptical, but eventually agreed. Before I had even asked my parents, I had begun looking for a shop that pierce it for me, which ...

I had been craving a piercing for the longest time, it felt like forever since I had last been 'stabbed'. The only problem was, I wasn't sure what I wanted. With my limited funds and lack of enthusiasm for anything more on my face, (I already have three visible facial piercings and didn' t want to look cluttered or like a pin cushion.) I wasn't sure would I could get. Nipples were something that I had wanted for a long time, but those were too expensive for my poor student ass. I opted for something on the ear. I spent ...

I'd been thinking for a while that I wanted a new piercing, and after having my lobes pierced twice on each side and then getting a helix at the top of one ear, I wanted something to fill the gap in the middle. My ear looked like it was missing something, and I felt that a new piercing was it! I had a look around on the internet and waited for the little granulation on my helix piercing to disappear before settling on getting a conch piercing. I'd seen someone with one and thought it looked cool, and merrily coerced ...

I'll make sure I don't leave any detail out! Well, a few months ago I saw glass talons and barbs for the first time. A friend of mine showed me, and for whatever reason I wanted them stuck in my head. I just really liked the way the glass looks, the colors and different styles really appeal to me. I've have piercings done before, like my tongue and ears with small gauges, and I was never really excited about them. I had them removed a long time ago as a result. So aside from my ink I haven't had any ...

Getting my first "real," or needle piercing at the mere age of 16 led to a new fascination of mine. PIERCINGS! I am always aching for more. My mom hates how I love getting pierced so initially when I must have a new one I ask my father. With the same response from him each time I am always referred back to my mom. I propose the idea of a new piecing to her and she instantly says "No!" "You have so many holes soon water will pour out of you when you drink." Months pass and I continue to ...

Just as background, I am a 19 year old, sophomore in college, who now has 25 piercings. These piercings include paired high nostrils, a retired standard nostril, a standard navel, a retired inverse navel, and various ear piercings (lobes, snug, daith, industrial, helices, retired tragus, anti-tragus, and rook). I never thought that I would get a conch piercing: I actually thought that after I got my anti-tragus pierced that I had finished with my ears. But I realized that the inner part of my right ear looked bare compared to my left, and I needed something to even them out. ...

Here is the continued story of my ears. I started stretching my lobes nearly two years ago now -- I honestly can't believe it' been that long. Despite a few fuck-ups, I'm generally pretty cautious, and I sat at 00 for around a year before I decided to stretch up. My usual go-to place for jewelry in Edmonton is Strange City, as it's where I get all my piercings done, and they're amazing, so I'm more than happy to give them my money. The unfortunate thing is that a lot of people also have this idea, so the stock can ...

Around the end of June, I pierced my ears in my bathroom with a 14g piercing needle followed by 14g circular barbells. I left those in for about 8-10 weeks until I came across some 10g steel plugs that I liked. I wanted to stretch to a 00g to begin with but the longer I thought about it, I decided I wasn't going to stretch, until I found those 10g steel plugs. I ordered them, a 12g steel taper, 12g captive bead rings, and a 10g steel taper. I wasn't going to stretch right away, not knowing much about it, ...
