It all started here on BMEzine with a photo of a girl with triple helix spiral in her ear. I was fascinated by how it looked and I couldn't get it out of my mind.Since then I had been planning to get a triple helix spiral for about five months and had done a fair amount of research on local studios that did this piercing. I ended up with two studios in mind, Urban Piercing in Reading and Area 51 in Basingstoke. I had previously had my septum pierced at Urban Piercing and had a great experience there but I ...

For a few years now I had wanted more piercings going up my left ear. I already had 5 but I decided I want them going all the way up and round the top of my ear, but I just never got round to getting them done as I wanted a couple of other things done first. So finally I decided to get them done whilst I was back at home from university, at Adrenaline in Luton. Most of my friends had already gone back to uni so I didn’t have anyone to take with me, but I really wanted ...

This was awhile ago, but I’ll give it my best shot at remembering all the details. During the same appointment as my daith at Trendsetters (early February, 2007), I had also planned on getting an outer conch piercing. I’m pretty sure Trendsetters almost never uses captive bead rings for cartilage piercings (except for daiths, apparently), as when I explain what I wanted (a ring on the edge of my outer conch, not a helix though), they said “Alright, we’ll put in a curved barbell”. I understand that this lowers the amount of knocking around and such though and the curved ...

On Valentine's Day of 2009, I got my "real" piercing...a forward helix in my left ear. I had a little bit of trouble with it, but overall, I absolutely adore it and it didn't take long for the fabled "piercing addiction" to attack and make me want more. But what to get? I really wanted something that not a lot of people have, and I didn't want to stray from my ears (my family is really against all other piercings and already kind of frown down upon the total of three piercings I now have in each ear). Eventually, I ...

Well, although I have been working in this industry for 2 years now, this is the first time I have actually experienced for myself a professional ear-cartilage piercing, let alone a dermal punch in my OWN skin! I'm currently a piercing apprentice at DeLuxe Custom Tattoos and Body Piercings in North Bay, ON. One thing we like to do when its slow at the shop, once all the cleaning has been done and the customers have been served, is to talk about the tattoos / piercings / mods we would like to have done ourselves or would like to do ...

Two Industrials? At the same time? You ARE crazy. Piercing date: 22 Sept 2009 I decided a while ago (Chrismas time 08 ish) that I was going to get industrials done on both ears... at the same time. Everyone I talked to about my idea that did not have piercings thought I was crazy ("I thought that cartilage piercings hurt the most/ you are not going to get any sleep while they're healing/ why would you do that"). Anyone that had an industrial or multiple other piercings already said that it would take awhile to heal, but why not do ...

I was always wanting an ear piercing but not just any ear piercing: I wanted something I had never seen before. That came in the form of a horizontal lobe. I was browsing galleries upon galleries of pictures until I see it. I instantly wanted it but was put off due the shape of my ear, it seemed that all the pictures had lobes that never touched their face ( and mine did ) so I basically dismissed the idea. Time went by and I still hadn't got a new piercing that I was happy with. I was really getting ...

I grew up in a pretty liberal home. My mother and I were very open, I never really had a curfew and I was allowed to get a tattoo at the age of 16 provided it wasn’t in a visible area. My mother had my ear lobes pierced when I was a few months old with a gun at one of those horrible little mall kiosks so I figured that I would be allowed to get a few more piercings with no objections. I was wrong. My mother seemed to think that tattoos were acceptable but piercings weirded her out. ...

For about 5 or 6 years I had always wanted my nose pierced. I only had one hole in each ear, and they were done when I was a baby. I am terrible with shots at the doctor, so needless to say I was TERRIFIED at the idea of getting my nose pierced. I read stories on here and I knew people who had it done, so I knew it wasnt that bad. But piercings were an uncharted territory for me. I had no idea what to expect. One day my sister came home with a nape piercing, and my ...

I have always liked ears and the variety of piercings that people get in them. So, it was no surprise when the tragus caught my eye. Two of my friends have their tragii pierced and a girl that just transferred from our school posted pictures of her fresh tragus adorned with the cutest heart shaped stud. I decided that I wanted my tragus pierced too and started to do my research. I even put together a PowerPoint to ask my mom, who told me years ago after my second lobe piercings "no more ear piercings". I pulled out all the ...
