First off, this may be a little long, but I feel the need to explain some things before getting into the experience of my third conch. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I have been through, so please bear with me. I recently wrote another experience on here about my second conch piercing. I thought everything was going to be alright, I mean the place I went to seemed sterile, everything seemed clean and whatnot. But things took a turn for the worst. Ever since the day I got my second conch piercing, it constantly felt ...

So, to start, I am a self professed piercing junkie. The majority of what I have resides on either my earlobes or the outer shell. As of now, I have one tragus, six cartilage, and 6 stretched piercings on my lobes. Two at 0's, two at 4's, and two at 6's (gauge). However, the one place I've always found to be a pain was my cartilage. I've pierced (or re-pierced) all six of my cartilage piercings and let me tell you, it never gets easier. The skin can swell, it can go bloody, the cartilage may be pierced through but ...

If you had asked me a few months ago about getting my conchs pierced I would have told you "There is no way in Hell that I am doing that!" I especially wouldn't of ever told you that I was getting both done. I had always thought of conch piercings as extreme and those that only heavily modded people got. They looked so painful and I just couldn't imagine doing that to myself. Well a couple months ago I had planned on making a trip up to Jacksonville, Fl to visit a few friends in April and as custom my friend Taylor and ...

This past summer, I spent a few weeks in England visiting a friend. I had decided before I left that I would get an industrial piercing to commemorate the experience. On our long drive far out into the English countryside from Heathrow Airport, I told her my plans and she was thrilled. In fact, she said that she had been interested in getting her tragus pierced. I had never considered that piercing before, but it wasn't long before I couldn't imagine NOT getting it pierced. Two days later, we headed into Banbury and went down a few wrong roads before ...

I've always been into body modification. Always. From the very small, tender ages, I've loved metal, and though my mother would try to tug 5 year old me away from the people on the bus or sidewalk with metal on their faces, I was too curious. One thing I never thought I'd do was stretch my ears. It was always something I wasn't a fan of. And adding that to the stereotype I had of "Only posers stretch their ears when they're still teenagers.", it was always something I just ventured away from. This was completely backed by my one ...

Day One: I travelled over to Leeds from Sheffield to meet Luke Iley from The Oddfellows Tattoo Collective. The Procedure Met in a nicely styled waiting area we discussed the procedure before he went to set up. I was really pleased with the work area, slightly uncomfortable about sharing a room with one of the tattooists who was also seeing a client but I was quickly put at ease. After about 15 minutes of marking up, careful consideration and an involved conversation about the techniques employed I felt totally confident as I lay down. The hemostats, as always were the ...

I had been thinking about my next piercing for almost a year. At that stage I had a conch-to-conch industrial in my left ear, a helix in my right and double lobes in each. I wanted something in my right ear to balance the industrial – something that matched, but was not exactly like what I already had because while I enjoy evenness I don’t really care about total symmetry. It took a long time to decide what I wanted because I liked so many ear piercings and wanted them all – rook, snug, daith; they were all so pretty ...

Right. I'm 21 years old, and I've been into body mods in a big way since I was about 13. I have 3 lip piercings (14g circular barbells), my left ear has a 22mm stretched lobe with 2 standard 14g circular barbells in piercings above it, the other ear has a 14mm tunnel, a 10mm glass spiral and 2 14g circular barbells. I have 3 naval piercings and two inner labia piercings. I've retired various lip piercings, nose piercings and 3 different nipple piercings. I tend to play pierce a lot, I have a branding on my forearm and a ...

As a teenager, I am very eager to have holes put into my body! Other teenagers spend their money on shoes, and makeup. I spend it on holes, and jewelry to put through those holes. (And makeup, of course.) So, my journey begins at thirteen. I begged my mother (more like bugged) for months to let me have my second lobes done. She finally waned, and said I could get as many blasted ear piercings done as I wanted. She only said this after I asked for a lip piercing. My two options in return were as many ear piercings ...

Now, let me start off by saying, it is never a good idea to do what I did. Ever. EVER. But, on to my stupid accomplishment. One night, at 1 am in the morning, listening to music, I started to feel inspirational. I had felt upset all day, and had cried a bit (ok, a LOT) so I wanted to start the new day out on a good note. What do I do but run around for a sewing needle? Instead of finding a precious sewing needle (and this should STILL not be used! But it's thicker, and more solid. ...
